For those players who prefer a more difficult challenge, Wordle does offer a Hard Mode which can be turned on at the beginning of any day in the options menu. This mode locks in previous clues and forces the players to think a bit more critically when coming up with future guesses. No more wasting guesses on letters and words that the player has already proven to be incorrect.

Today's Wordle Answer (September 16th #454)

Wordle September 16th 454 Attempt

The September 16th Wordle answer is PARER.

This was a close one for our attempts today, for our starting word we used IRATE. This provided quite a bit and also a false sense of security over finishing the day's puzzle quickly. We had three letters in the incorrect positions; 'R', 'A', and 'E'. Moving forward, we tried RAVED as our second attempt, this placed the two vowels in their correct position but didn't solve where the 'R' goes. Assuming we have a Wordle word ending in 'ER', we tried PAGER which locked in our assumption and gave us the correct first letter, 'P'.

This is where our Wordle adventure took a scary turn, there were multiple options that could fit into this criteria. We started first with PACER, this proved incorrect and only heightened the pressure. Our fifth guess was PAPER, and to be honest, we thought this had to be it, it was not. We were down to our final guess and the only word that we could come up with was PARER, which turned out to be correct and gave us a well-fought Wordle win-in-six.
