Nathan Fielder is back for The Rehearsal season 1 ended in 2022 on HBO, becoming a hit for the network through its inventive docu-comedy premise. In each episode, Nathan Fielder portrays a semi-fictionalized version of himself helping people rehearse ordinary and complex situations by hiring actors and building sets to simulate an experience, such as learning to be a parent or confronting a sibling about a parent’s will.

Nathan Fielder’s The Rehearsal season 2, episode 1 will be released at 10:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 20 on HBO and Max. Therefore, the premiere hits Max and HBO at 7:30 p.m. PT, 8:30 p.m. MT, and 9:30 p.m. CT on Sunday night in other time zones around the United States. In the UK, The Rehearsal season 2, episode 1 debuts at 3:30 a.m. BST on Monday, April 21 via Sky.

While The Rehearsal’s release time may seem late, it’s because the docu-comedy series is premiering behind two other hit shows on HBO’s Sunday night release slate. The broadcast of The Rehearsal season 2’s first episode will follow the premiere of The Last of Us season 2, episode 2 at 9 p.m. ET and The Righteous Gemstones season 4, episode 7 at 10 p.m. ET.

The Rehearsal season 2 was officially renewed by HBO on the same day as the season 1 finale, so audiences may have to wait until May 25 before getting an announcement about The Rehearsal season 3’s status.
