The Wheel of Time has added four new cast for season 2. The series, which premiered on Prime Video in 2021, is a fantasy epic based on the novel series of the same name by Robert Jordan. It follows Moiraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike), who is searching for the mythical figure The Dragon Reborn along with a wide ensemble of characters.

During a virtual on Saturday at JordanCon, Prime Video announced that they are adding four new cast to The Wheel of Time season 2, all playing various characters from the novels. This includes Ragga Ragnars as Maiden of the Spear Bain and Maja Simonsen as her first-sister Chiad. Also on hand are Jay Duffy as Children of the Light officer Dain Bornhald and Rima Te Wiata as the powerful Aes Sedai Sheriam Bayanar.

The new cast member that is likely the most recognizable to viewers will be Ragnars. Although the Icelandic actor doesn't have many titles to her name, she starred as Gunnhild in 22 episodes of the popular History Channel series Vikings. Duffy has also appeared on Vikings for a single episode, but he is better known for his appearances on Hollyoaks and Derry Girls.

Simonsen has mostly held small roles up to this point; however, she has appeared in several big titles. This includes the 2021 prequel The King's Man and the TV series Treadstone and Emily in Paris. Te Wiata, on the other hand, has appeared in quite a few titles from her native New Zealand, including the horror-comedy Housebound and the Taika Waititi movie Hunt for the Wilderpeople.

These new Wheel of Time cast will use their range of experience to help expand the epic scope of the series even more. They are ing a season that has already added quite a few new cast , including Ceara Coveney, Natasha O'Keeffe, and Meera Syal. Dónal Finn will also be replacing Barney Harris in the role of Mat.
