A24 confirmed plans to give The Brutalist an exclusive theatrical release after acquiring the movie's domestic distribution rights. The film first becomes available to see in select cities starting on December 20, 2024. A24 plans to expand The Brutalist wide in January, so if it is not currently available in your area, that should change over time. An exact timetable for its wide release is not confirmed.

When Will The Brutalist Release On Streaming?

A24 has not confirmed when The Brutalist will be released on streaming at this point. It is known that the movie will stream on Max as part of a deal between A24 and Warner Bros. that started in 2023. Based on how the deal has worked in the past, The Brutalist's streaming release might not come until April 2025. A24's movies start streaming on Max roughly four months after they debut in theaters on average since the deal started. This would mean the film would come to streaming well after it potentially wins any Oscars.
