The Chicago franchise is vast now and this is all thanks to Chicago Med. Showrunner and producer Dick Wolf helms all the shows.
Chicago Fire's ratings have been brilliant so far and as a result of this, NBC has renewed it for three more seasons. There are many elements that make the show great, but none bigger than the characters. Here's where each of the main protagonists' fit in the Zodiac.
Gabriela "Gabby" Dawson - Aries
People under the Aries constellation are known to be impulsive. They act fast and think later, something which is synonymous with Gabby. She has found herself getting reprimanded several times for making quick calls that were not really the best calls.
Gabby is also short-tempered. This is another common Aries weakness. As a result, she finds herself clashing with her superiors on the regular. On the upside, she is confident and ionate about her job. This made her popular with her male colleagues.
Wallace Boden - Taurus
Wallace Boden, the Battalion Chief of Firehouse 51, has been at the department for 30 years. This shows devotion, a common Taurus trait. He also loves the Firehouse 51 family and would do anything for them. Given how stable he is, some of his juniors consider him a father figure.
Boden likes pushing his men to be the best they can be. He is willing to take advice too if he's sensible enough. Taurus people can be uncompromising too, something which is revealed through Boden's relationship with his estranged wife. He has no interest in reconciling with her.
Sylvie Brett - Gemini
Geminis are gentle and affectionate. They also fit in quickly wherever they go. When she ed Ambulance 61 after Shay's death, her new colleagues weren't so warm towards her but her good work and positive attitude made them begin to like her.
Geminis are also inconsistent and indecisive. She confessed that she was a "runaway bride" only to reconcile with her ex-fiance Harrison. She had initially moved to Chicago to be away from him. Sylvie broke up with him again as she felt he was too controlling.
Lesley Shay - Cancer
Cancers often exhibit a sense of die-hard loyalty. This describes Shay perfectly. She was extremely loyal to those close to her, particularly to Kelly. She would risk her job several times for Kelly's benefit.
Cancers are also sensitive and emotional and that's why Shay went on a downward spiral when she considered herself responsible for a man's suicide. Sadly, she became critically injured after an explosion in a building and ended up dying.
Brian "Otis" Zvonecek - Leo
Zvonecek always wanted a promotion but his superiors felt he lacked the proper motivation. He considered transferring to another firehouse but chose to stay after his colleagues told him they had placed a bet on how long he would last.
That bit specifically shows how much of a Leo he is. Leos really care what others think about them. They are also ionate. Zvonecek was so ionate about his job that he started a podcast where he talked about his life as a firefighter. Unfortunately, he ed away in the sixth season due to a fire accident.
Christopher Herrmann - Virgo
Virgos are loyal and hardworking. Herrmann's loyalty is to his family. He loves his wife and children so much that he usually gets some form of emotional torture whenever he encounters child abuse cases.
His hard work can be seen through the lengths he goes to make money. Aside from having a very tasking job, he also owns a bar called Molly's. He has described himself as the "General Entrepreneur." One of his best quotes is: "The difference between winners and losers is not who's the strongest; but who can recognize the strongest opportunity!"
Peter Mills - Libra
Libras are known to avoid confrontations. That's why Mills applied for a position at the Chicago Police Department to avoid Boden. Peter and Boden didn't really get along.
Libras are also known to carry grudges and that's why Mills broke up with Gabriela Dawson because she didn't open out about the affair between his mum and Chief Boden. His Libra weakness of self-pity also became evident when he was dating Isabella. He felt that she was simply using him.
Blake Gallo - Scorpio
Scorpios tend to be brave, ionate, and stubborn. This explains why Blake Gallo enjoys taking unnecessary risks and disobeying orders. He once free-climbed up a building in a manner that would make Spider-Man proud just so he could save someone.
Gallo is ionate about firefighting because he was rescued from a fire when he was a child. The fire killed the rest of his family. He has also disobeyed direct orders on several occasions and found himself reprimanded.
Kelly Severide - Sagittariaus
Kelly is always full of charisma and as a result, he is popular with his colleagues as well as the ladies. He is frequently seen chatting with fellow firefighters or playing cards with them. Kelly is also good at reading people's minds and observing patterns.
All these traits make Kelly a Sagittarian. Such people are funny, charming and attract lots of friends. They are also the best conversationalists. This explains why Kelly is good with the ladies.
Matt Casey - Capricon
Matt is known to be cold and distant with a no-nonsense attitude. However, his crew respects him and so does Chief Boden. He prefers to keep his problems to himself and tends to avoid small talk. He also stands up for his team and gives them all the freedom they need.
These traits make him a Capricorn. Those under this Zodiac are known to have great leadership skills and as a result, they always find themselves in positions of authority. They also have great self-control but on the downside, they tend to believe they know better hence they rarely seek second opinions.
