With the Deadpool 3 already creating buzz among fans of the superhero series that wears its R-rating with pride, it's going to be a long wait for the antihero's next outing. Luckily, in just two movies, the series managed to establish so many distinctive characters that couldn't exist anywhere else and it helps make them infinitely rewatchable.
It also makes the series perfect for the zodiac treatment. This is how Deadpool and the other major personalities of the first two movies line up with the astrological signs.
Aries - Cable
Independent and strong-willed, Cable represents the best and worst of the Aries sign. When an Aries commits to something, they're committed 100%, and for Cable that makes him a scary antagonist with more than a bit of a violent streak. When Cable puts his mind to something, it can be difficult to slow him down, let alone stop him.
However, Aries is also a sign associated with having a strong sense of right and wrong. Likewise, Cable has deeply-held principles that mean when he does slow down and think things through, his call is almost always the right one.
Taurus - Dopinder
It's unusual for an otherwise unconnected taxi driver to become a fixture of a movie series but Deadpool 3 would be smart to keep one of its best ing characters for the MCU. What sets Dopinder apart from the start is the way he immediately accepts Deadpool's violent and outlandish stories, hinting at an understanding nature that is in line with the Taurus sign.
Taurus is most well-known as a sign that's reliable, and no one reflects that better than Dopinder. Though he has his own ambitions, no matter the location or circumstances, he'll somehow make it there if needed. Dopinder exemplifies why people in the Taurus sign make great friends.
Gemini - Domino
From the moment she appears on screen, it's obvious that Domino is a character more than equipped to keep up with Wade. Smart and quick-witted, she can easily hold her own when it comes to the quips game, also showcasing the excellent communication skills that Gemini is known for.
Dynamic in action, Domino is a force to be reckoned with even without being superhumanly lucky. Domino could easily be a scary antagonist but luckily she also shares a level of kindness and good nature that proves once and for all why she's a perfect Gemini.
Cancer - Russell Collins/Firefist
Independence is a key trait of the Cancer astrological sign and, despite being so young, Russell has it in bucketloads. His incredible power and potential mean he makes for an excellent antagonist in Deadpool 2 but it also demonstrates that there's a lot going on underneath that prickly exterior.
Those aren't the only ways he displays some very distinct Cancer traits though. Sensitivity is also a hugely important one, as Russell is shown to have an incredible amount of heart even as the anger he feels towards his abs drives him down a dark path.
Leo - Deadpool
Whilst his constant wisecracking and self-aware sense of humor make it difficult to discern Wade's true personality for the most part, there are some things about the character that makes him fit perfectly in the Leo sign. Perhaps the most obvious is his charisma, which draws people to him regardless of whether they want to be involved or not.
After what happens with the X-Force, it's hard to argue that Deadpool is the perfect leader but the fact he's able to assemble them at all and inspire them for such a crazy mission shows that he's a Leo at heart.
Virgo - Peter
Though Wade was never able to his name in the end, Peter made a huge impact for the short amount of time he was on screen. During that time, it quickly became clear that Peter is the perfect friend, kind and responsible even when put completely out of his comfort zone.
Likewise, Virgos are known for making amazing friends for exactly this reason. Virgos tend to be ambitious and expect a lot for themselves, which explains why Peter, an ordinary guy, would sign up for a dangerous mission he's completely unprepared for and end up surprising a lot of people.
Libra - Vanessa
One of the more socially outgoing signs, Vanessa is well-suited to Libra because of the confident charm that allows her to be friends with almost anyone. Intelligent and quick on her feet, her ability to keep up with Wade when it comes to quips or flirting makes her stand out immediately.
What sets her apart from Wade and makes her distinctively Libra is her deep kindness which becomes clear when she finally reunites with Wade at the end of Deadpool and is just upset that he let her believe he was dead rather than worried about his scarred appearance.
Scorpio - Negasonic Teenage Warhead
One of the funniest parts of the best superhero comedy movie is Wade's friendship with Negasonic Teenage Warhead, whose moody, no-nonsense attitude couldn't be further from the constantly wisecracking antihero. Scorpio is obviously a sign known for being standoffish or even intimidating but, just like with Negasonic, it's just a tough exterior.
In fact, she's as ionate as anyone when it comes to the things most important to her, though sometimes what's most important to her is provoking Wade or her superiors. Though she refuses to show enthusiasm for anything, her actions speak louder than words as she always ends up helping when it matters.
Sagittarius - Francis Freeman/Ajax
Played by Ed Skrein at his villainous best, Ajax is a good example of how some of the best Sagittarius traits can be used for evil by someone unethical enough. His ambition combined with his iron sense of will are both important elements of the star sign and, when concentrated on his mutation project, make him a powerful antagonist.
Freeman is also incredibly intelligent, only making him scarier. Even when talking calmly, he manages to reach important conclusions and plan out actions to ensure he ends up on top. Though the Sagittarius traits he possesses are irable, they also make him an incredible villain.
Capricorn - Colossus
Capricorn is a sign that thrives on order and rules and Colossus makes for a very extreme example of this. The giant metallic mutant loves to do things by the books and ensure that every rule laid out is followed to T. Although this may seem limiting, and at times it is, it's also an approach that has taken Colossus a long way.
Capricorn is one of the more intelligent signs and similarly, despite being huge and immensely strong, Colossus isn't stupid by any means and Wade finds him hard to manipulate. Instead, he's completely confident in his approach to life and it takes a lot to make him sway from a decision once he's reached one.
