Ever since J. M. Barrie wrote the story of Peter Pan, audiences have been fascinated by the boy who never grows up on an island with pirates, mermaids, fairies, and lost boys. Peter Pan reminds audiences about the innocence of childhood while making them realize they don't have to completely lose that when they become adults.
Like many beloved classics, there's a Disney animated version of the story - with a live-action version on the way. It's not exactly the same as Barrie's original story, but the personalities of the characters remain intact, giving fans plenty of Neverland residents and visitors they can identify with.
Aries: Tinkerbell
Though Tinkerbell has some Taurus tendencies, like her desire to protect Peter from Wendy Darling's influence, she's a better fit for the fire sign Aries. Tinkerbell is fully motivated by her emotions, jumping into situations without thinking about them based on how she feels about the situation.
Her jealousy of Wendy almost gets both Wendy and Peter killed by the lost boys and Captain Hook, respectively. She's incredibly stubborn, not wanting to listen to Peter when she's angry with him. Tinkerbell also, however, loves completely. She has immense loyalty to both Peter and the lost boys, not wanting them hurt, despite her venting her woes to Captain Hook.
Taurus: Slightly
In the Disney adaptation of Peter Pan, not all of the lost boys are fully fleshed out. That doesn't happen until the audience spends more time with them in Return To Neverland. If any of them were a supremely loyal sidekick, ready to protect Peter in an instant, it's the fox-dressed Slightly.
Slightly is the one who first takes up his slingshot when Wendy tells the boys about the "Wendy-bird," and he appears to slightly outrank the other lost boys. That protective instinct, loyalty, and the stubbornness he exhibits when confronted with a problem, are all sure signs of a Taurus.
Gemini: Mrs. Darling
The audience doesn't spend a lot of time with the Darling children's' parents, but they do get a clear picture of the household dynamic when they do. Mrs. Darling is a charming woman who doesn't flinch at her husband's anger, or her sons' antics, and takes her daughter's storytelling in stride.
Her ability to stay calm under pressure and quickly sidestep the chaos is just like a Gemini. Geminis are able to adapt to strange situations with ease, keeping their wits about them when everyone else is succumbing to stress.
Cancer: Smee
Considering he's a member of Captain Hook's pirate crew, Smee doesn't seem like a bad guy. He follows orders as best he can, and for some reason, has immense loyalty to Captain Hook.
Those born under the sign of Cancer tend to see the best in people and form deep bonds with those they care about. That's a pretty apt assessment of Smee's relationship with Captain Hook, though Hook might not deserve Smee's loyalty. Smee also clearly still holds some family ties as he sheds a tear and reveals a tattoo for his mom when Wendy sings about mothers.
Leo: Peter
Some might think Peter's adventurous spirit matches the Sagittarius wanderlust perfectly. Peter, however, isn't exactly the fan of learning or travel that a Sagittarius is. Instead, his love for adventure is typically the result of him being the one at the center of everyone's attention.
It is, after all, Peter who saves Wendy, Tiger Lily, and even shows mercy to Captain Hook with everyone else looking on. Peter is someone who loves the limelight - as long as he doesn't have to grow up. He's the embodiment of the Leo's love of the party. His party just happens to be in Neverland.
Virgo: Nana
With so many of the characters in Peter Pan simply reacting to the adventures they are thrown into, not many of them seem like the stereotypical organized Virgo who loves to have a plan in place. At least, none of the human characters do.
Nana is on top of everything in the Darling household despite being a dog instead of a human nurse. It's Nana who gives the children their medicine, picks up the disarray in the nursery, and even offers up the rope to tie to her collar to Mr. Darling. If anyone in Peter Pan is a Virgo, it's Nana.
Libra: John
John's the middle child in the Darling family. Like Wendy, he still loves to play make-believe, but when they get to Neverland, John's placed in the position of leader of the lost boys by Peter.
Leadership skills tend to come naturally to Libras. They also have an innate charm that allows them to make friends, even while taking their responsibilities seriously. Though John only gets to lead the lost boys briefly, he does so with the hope of making Peter proud.
Scorpio: The Mermaids
It might seem unfair to lump all of the mermaids together, but the group is only seen once in Disney's version of Peter Pan's story and they don't even get names. The mermaids spend their seen lounging until Peter s him. They're excited to see him, but less excited to see that he's brought Wendy with him.
Now, Scorpios tend to aggressively go after what they want. The mermaids do just that, but they try to get to Peter by drowning Wendy. That's a little extreme for a Scorpio.
Sagittarius: Wendy
Wendy has the same longing for adventure that Peter has, though she doesn't need to be at the center of everyone's attention. Instead, she prefers to tell the stories of the adventures of others.
That's why she's a Sagittarius. In addition to her love for telling stories, she loves learning about Neverland. Sagittarius is often thought of as the scholar of the zodiac because of that same trait: loving to learn.
Capricorn: Mr. Darling And Captain Hook
Given that the play traditionally calls for Mr. Darling and Captain Hook to be played by the same actor, it's no surprise that the two characters fall under the same sign. They both tend to let their ambition cloud their judgments.
The most ambitious sign of the zodiac is the Capricorn. They are incredibly goal-oriented, though they can also be incredibly family-oriented. In the case of Mr. Darling, that means his work life and his home life can come into conflict. In the case of Captain Hook, that means his regular pirating adventures take a backseat to his obsession with catching Peter Pan.
