Hufflepuffs may all seem similar from afar, but make no mistake, this Hogwarts house from Harry Potterare a nuanced bunch. Though there is a current of hard work and kindness that runs through Hufflepuffs, they are very individualized as well. Taking a closer look at the house, it's clear that its characters come in all different kinds.

Here's how they match up with the signs of the zodiac.

Aries: Ernie MacMillan

Ernie Macmillan talking in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Aries are named after the God of War and, unfortunately, Ernie was one fiesty Puff. During Chamber of Secrets, Ernie was one of the students who accused Harry of being the Heir of Slytherin, and though they patched up that dispute, Ernie was quick to point fingers yet again, when Harry was named the Triwizard champion.

Aries are known for being moody, quick to anger, and aggressive, and Ernie's constant breaks of faith fit this mold. However, like an Aries, he is also courageous and ionate, he does Dumbledore's army, both in the fifth and seventh years, after all. All this taken together, he perfectly represents Aries.

Taurus: Helga Hufflepuff

Helga is a great representation of the Taurus sign. If Hufflepuffs were an element, it would definitely be earth, and Taurus is one of the earth signs. Additionally, from everything fans know about Helga, she was incredibly patient and kind, taking in all students, no matter their strongest trait, and valuing hard work overall, a sentiment that definitely would reflect in a Taurus.

Additionally, Taurus are also uncompromising--and while Helga might have been sweet to her students, she must have had to stand her ground against the other founders more than once in order to maintain her open and welcoming ways.

Gemini: Nymphadora Tonks

Gemini, the twins, are known for their dualities of personality, and Tonks, after all, does wear many faces. But beyond this, Tonks has that Gemini charisma and energy, a bubbly style of flitting through life that hides a much deeper interior.

Geminis have a natural curiosity that Tonks embodies, and, of course, the ability to adapt to any situation.

Cancer: Newt Scamander

Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts.

Cancer's could find no better representative than Newt Scamander. Like Cancers, Newt marches to the beat of his own drum. He goes off the beaten path and forges the way he thinks is most right. Also like Cancers, Newt has a tendency to barrel head-first into situations and has an unmatched knack for stubbornness.

Sometimes, Newt gets blinded by his goals and can't see the bigger picture, making him the perfect picture of a Cancer.

Leo: Cedric Diggory

Cedric Diggory is, of course, the most Leo Hufflepuff there is. A shining star, an athlete, a grinning, charismatic, personality that makes the other students swoon, he's a Leo if there ever was one.

He can come off as occasionally arrogant and too self-assured, but that's part and parcel of the lion sign. In addition, his innate leadership skills, on the Quidditch pitch, in the classroom, and in the hallways, perfectly encapsulate what it means to be a Leo.

Virgo: Pomona Sprout

Professor Sprout has to be an earth sign and Virgo is the perfect fit for this Herbology teacher. Professor Sprout is incredibly hardworking, always tending to her plants, which play a vital role in keeping Hogwarts well stocked with potions supplies. She always seems very down to earth and practical, to a fault sometimes.

Professor Sprout never vies for the stage like some of the other Professors and seems happiest in her greenhouses, altogether, the ideal Virgo.

Libra: Susan Bones

Not too much is known about Susan Bones, but she does seem to be on the side of right, most of the time. She s Dumbledore's army both in her fifth and seventh year, at great personal risk, and comes from a long line of resistance fighters.

For Libras, justice is everything, so it is fitting that they are represented by Susan, whose main known character traits revolve around balancing the scales of right and wrong.

Scorpio: Zacharias Smith

Zacharias Smith in Hufflepuff house.

If there was ever a Hufflepuff that ought to have been a Slytherin, it's Zacharias Smith, proving that the houses are more nuanced than it might first seem. Scorpios are secretive, distrusting, and jealous, and that's exactly what Zacharias came off as.

While he did Dumbledore's army, showing some Scorpio bravery, he was a miserable member, always commenting negatively about something. And ultimately, he seemed dubious of the whole affair. While not all Scorpios are like this, Zacharias is definitely their representative out of the Hufflepuffs.

Sagittarius: Artemisia Lufkin

Artemisia is part of the extended canon of the series, but she makes a great Sagittarius. As the first witch to become Minister of Magic, Artemisia traveled to new heights.

She was also 'Department of International Magical Cooperation,' which is very fitting of a Sag who loves to travel and wants the freedom to be able to do so. Finally, she lobbied for the Quidditch world cup to come to Britain, once again, showing that Sag stubbornness and love of adventure and boundary-pushing.

Capricorn: Hannah Abbott

Hannah Abbot

Not too much is known about Hannah Abbott, but she did have a great amount of loyalty to her house, which is a very Capricorn trait. Although she could sometimes be quick to think the worst of people, namely Harry, she always came around to apologize and move forward. Capricorns can think they know it all but are disciplined and responsible enough to it wrong-doing.

Hannah is a great representative of the goat sign.
