Matt Bolton and Colleen Reed recently announced their split, but they aren't the first Love Is Blind couple to break up after saying "I do" at the altar. Love Is Blind is known for having a good success rate, with many more couples staying together than on shows like The Bachelor or Love Island. However, even the Netflix social experiment isn't immune from breakups. While most couples break up before or at the wedding, Love Is Blind has had its fair share of divorces and marital separations.

Love Is Blind first aired in 2020, so there hasn't been a lot of time for couples to file for divorce. However, because the cast get married so quickly on the show, it's possible the Love Is Blind cast don't have enough time to see the pitfalls in their relationships, leading to divorces after only a few years. While most married couples from the show seem very happy together, with some even having children, it's possible we'll see more divorces in the future. Which Love Is Blind couples have already called it quits?

Matt Bolton And Colleen Reed

Season 3

Matt and Rumors had circulated about Matt and Colleen in the weeks leading up to their official announcement, but most of the rumors lacked credibility. As it turns out, the rumors were true. Matt and Colleen made a t Instagram post announcing they had ended their marriage and had been separated for some time, although the exact length of time is unknown.

Colleen and Matt got engaged not because they had fallen madly in love, but because they both wanted to settle down.

Matt and Colleen were a controversial couple on Love Is Blind. Colleen had a strong connection with Cole Barnett, but he dumped her and proposed to Zanab Jaffrey instead. It seemed like Colleen and Matt got engaged not because they had fallen madly in love, but because they both wanted to settle down. Cracks in their relationship started to show almost immediately. When the engaged couples finally met their exes, Colleen and Cole discussed how they might have been attracted to each other had they met another way.

To Matt, this was unacceptable behavior. In his mind, Colleen was his fiancée and, therefore, should not be telling any other men that they're attractive. Matt was so upset, he threatened to leave Colleen and the show. The conflicts didn't end there, and audiences were shocked when both Matt and Colleen agreed to marry each other on their wedding day.

Matt and Colleen also raised some eyebrows when they announced that, despite being married, they hadn't moved in together at the Love Is Blind season 3 reunion. Did they even like each other at all? Eventually, the two did move in together. However, they were never able to shake the questions about their marriage. Because of their tumultuous relationship, it's not that surprising that Colleen and Matt have decided to end things.

Danielle Ruhl And Nick Thompson

Season 2

Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson made Love Is Blind history when they became the first couple from the show to file for divorce. They split in 2022, just one year after they got married. According to the duo, there was no infidelity, they just weren't as compatible as they once thought. In an interview with US Weekly, Nick shared his side of the breakup:

"As we moved forward and we started integrating our lives together, you start to see sort of some cracks that you don’t see [right away] based on the way that we met."

Nick and Danielle are evidence that Love Is Blind seasons shouldn't end in marriage. Had Nick and Danielle had more time together before the altar, they might have discovered those incompatibilities and neglected to marry at all. This could have saved them a costly divorce.

Since the show, Nick has fought for fair rights and wages for reality TV stars. He alleged that he experienced mistreatment on the set of Love Is Blind. Now, he's trying to get cast classified as employees, and therefore eligible for minimum wage and overtime pay.

Jarrette Jones And Iyanna McNeely

Season 2

Jarrette and Iyanna both wearing red on the Love is Blind reunion, kissing one another.

When Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely announced their divorce shortly after Danielle and Nick, Love Is Blind season 2 became the first and only season with no successful marriages. Unlike in Nick and Danielle's case, Iyanna eventually itted there was infidelity in the relationship. Three days before they filmed the "After The Altar" episode of Love Is Blind, Iyanna received an email detailing Jarrette's indiscretions. According to Iyanna, the email contained specific details about Jarrette cheating on her.

After reflecting on the marriage further, Iyanna determined Jarrette hadn't been ready for marriage. To the Love Is Blind audience, this wasn't a surprise. Jarrette had been more interested in Mallory Zapata, and only proposed to Iyanna when Mallory chose another man. While many Love Is Blind cast develop multiple connections in the pods, it seemed that Iyanna was Jarrette's second choice, which isn't a good way to start off a marriage.

Tyler s And Ashley Adionser

Season 7

Love Is Blind Tyler Francis, Ashley Adionser and her dad seated at a restaurant while talking

Tyler s seemed like the perfect fit for Ashley Adionser, until he revealed an important piece of information that seemed like it might change everything. Tyler claimed he had been a sperm donor for a friend, and there were three children in the world who were biologically related to him. Ashley didn't think this was a big deal, although it was strange that this information was coming out after they were already engaged. The two decided to wed anyway.

However, the mother of said children, Bri Thomas, took to Instagram to expose the truth about Tyler. While the first child was conceived via sperm donation, Bri claimed the twins were conceived naturally and were unplanned. Tyler, she claimed, was not solely a sperm donor, but was the father of these children. She even claimed she and Tyler were in legal battles regarding custody. Tyler denied the accusations.

While Ashley wanted to give Tyler the benefit of the doubt, she eventually learned the truth. On a fellow Love Is Blind alum's podcast, Ashley exposed Tyler and explained why they got divorced. She had found proof Tyler was lying about not being involved in the children's lives and that she believed he was in fact the father, not a sperm donor. Hopefully Ashley heals from this soon and finds happiness away from Tyler.

Love Is Blind is available to stream on Netflix.
