Their characters embody recognizable characteristics for every zodiac sign.

Nearly every Stranger Things character corresponds to each of the zodiac signs. Many of their exact signs are unknown - but comparisons can be drawn with each of their personalities.

Updated on May 31st, 2022 by Amanda Bruce: Stranger Things continues to be one of Netflix's most popular shows because it manages to find just the right balance of horror coming-of-age story, small town sensibilities and conspiracy theories, and comedy and drama. With the release of Season 4, the audience doesn't just get more backstory and another scary villain, but also some new fascinating characters to get to know. That makes for some great new additions to the Stranger Things characters as zodiac signs.

Aries - Murray Bauman

Murray outside in Stranger Things season 4

Murray appears in several episodes to help Nancy and Jonathan try to uncover the conspiracies happening in Hawkins. He also begrudgingly helps Joyce and Hopper later in the series even though Hopper wouldn't listen to his theories early in the show.

He's similar to the Aries sign because he's a confident character who knows what he's talking about as well as an honest character who tells brutal truths. He's also a moody and short-tempered character who tells everyone over and over again how inconvenienced he is by their situation even as he's helping them.

Aries - Jim Hopper

Stranger Things Chief Jim Hopper

Chief Hopper's direct and blunt nature reflects the cardinal energy of Aries. Hopper is brave and doesn't shy away from fighting monsters and bad guys, though his heroic efforts can land him in trouble.

Aries is also known for being a strong leader. Hopper channels this trait as other people flock to him for his strength and skills. Almost all of Hopper's traits, good and bad, are similar to the Aries personality traits.

Taurus - Steve Harrington

Steve Harrington wearing black glasses in Stranger Things

Taurus is a grounded sign that finds security and comfort in material possessions and social status. Steve Harrington, the former King of Hawkins High, embodies this typical Taurus trait. Of the Stranger Things zodiac signs, he's one of the easiest to place.

Steve enjoys his large house and is concerned with his image. Like many Taureans, his belongings bring him a sense of safety and stability. He also, however, has the protective streak of a Taurus. Though Steve doesn't get along with Jonathan, and initially finds the younger group of kids in Hawkins a little odd, he doesn't hesitate to go to bat for them, quite literally. He ends up being dubbed a "babysitter," but he's incredible protective.

Taurus - Jason Carver

Jason is stunned in Stranger Things Season 4

Introduced in Season 4, Jason is the new big man on campus, so it makes sense that he would have quite a bit in common with Steve. Both characters are incredibly stubborn, and once they get an idea in their head, don't want to let them go.

Jason also has a protective streak. He wants justice for the death of his girlfriend Chrissy, and he decides that in order to do that, he's going to make his basketball team his own personal investigative squad. Of course, they allow their zeal to make them more violent, but Jason is always the man in charge.

Gemini - Robin Buckley

Robin in Stranger Things Season 3

Geminis typically love to communicate and thrive in conversation. Steve's best friend Robin reflects this air sign's trait. The Scoops Ahoy worker is a talented linguist who helps Dustin and Steve decipher the secret Russian code.

Robin reflects other characteristics that Geminis can relate to. She is intelligent, curious, and quick-witted throughout her adventures with the Scoops Troop.

Gemini - Will Byers

Will in his Will the Wise costume in Stranger Things

Will is a gentle, affectionate, and curious friend that is always there for his friends when they need him. He is trapped inside the Upside Down in the first season and has to try his best to quickly adapt, learn about the environment quickly, and survive the ordeal.

When Will returns he's understandably even more nervous than when he was trapped in the Upside Down. He might not be as quick to engage someone in conversation as Robin, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have the quick wit or the gift for communication that he does. Will's communication skills tend to flourish in art instead of speech.

Cancer - Joyce Byers

Stranger Things Joyce Byers

Cancer is a nurturing sign that embodies loyalty towards family and friends. Because of this, many Cancers can relate to Joyce Byers.

Joyce is fiercely protective of her children and refuses to give up looking for Will in Season 1. She is caring, though can be sensitive and defensive. If someone crosses a Cancer, a Cancer knows how to hold a grudge, like her boss not wanting to sell her string lights in the first season. They're also incredibly welcoming though, as Joyce is when she's first introduced to Eleven and her story.

Cancer - Suzie Bingham

Suzie sings in Stranger Things Season 3

Suzie initially gets a fun cameo in Season 3, but she returns to help save the day in Season 4, even if she doesn't actually know that she's helping save the day. Suzie, like Joyce, is an incredibly caring person. She comes from a large family where she's expected to take care of her younger siblings, and she takes her parents' concerns very seriously.

She's willing to break the rules, however, to help Dustin with just about anything, from changing his grade to winning a gaming contest for him. Mike just better hope she never finds out he lied to her about the video game contest.

Leo - Billy Hargrove

Billy smiles in Stranger Things

Billy Hargrove is introduced in Season 2 as a powerful figure who immediately usurps Steve's position as King of Hawkins High. Billy has a commanding and charismatic presence that exemplifies Leo traits.

The metal-loving lifeguard was a bully but redeemed himself by sacrificing his life for Eleven in Season 3. Billy's strength and bravery exemplify other familiar Leo characteristics.

Leo - Karen Wheeler

Karen Wheeler reclines in her swimsuit in Stranger Things Season 3

Karen Wheeler is a mom who just wants to be involved in the lives of her kids. She's also someone who always has something to say, even when her kids are hiding things from her.

She might not seem like someone who longs to be the center of attention like Billy, but she's got a similar flair for the dramatic. She does like to be the parent calling the shots when other parents are involved. Karen also basks in the attention offered by Billy until he suddenly withdraws it.
