One character from updates on White Collar's revival have been minimal, audiences can get excited knowing that many of the original cast are expected to, including Bomer as Neal Caffrey and Tim DeKay as Peter Burke. That being said, there has been nothing regarding potential ing or guest stars for the revival, even though those smaller characters were essential for White Collar to work.

White Collar, even with its larger arcs, was at its core a procedural, allowing the series to bring in new characters to complicate the relationships of New York's White Collar unit. Many of those smaller White Collar characters were the catalysts for the action-filled adventures the pair embarked on, such as Ben Ryan (Joe Manganiello) in "Neighborhood Watch", but also were rarely ever heard from again due to the procedural style. However, one specifically entertaining guest character's return must happen in White Collar's reboot as his untapped potential could play a vital role in its storyline: Gordan Taylor (Hal Ozsan).

Why Gordon Taylor Needs To Return For The White Collar Revival

Taylor's Charm And Connections Make Him A Perfect Asset

Gordon Taylor needs to return for the White Collar revival as he is a great source of information for Peter and Neal to use, allowing the series to explore his fascinating character more. Taylor was only featured in the season 3 episode "Stealing Home", but his charm and charisma made him a compelling guest to watch interact with Neal and other characters. Additionally, Taylor's plans to rob Yankee Stadium, while not necessarily one of White Collar's greatest cons, were well planned and executed, showcasing that Taylor's capabilities go beyond just being charming.

Peter and Neal could need to find Taylor during the White Collar reboot as he could have the information on someone he worked with or an asset the duo needs to solve their newest case. Audiences could then see Taylor in action once more as he insists on helping the duo track and possibly steal what they are after, adding another layer to the characterization his initial appearance hinted at. Taylor could also act as the inciting incident, giving the White Collar revival an easy way to force Neal to return to his old life.

White Collar Reboot Must Find A Clever Way To Bring Neal Back To His Old Life

Taylor Could Take Over One Aspect Of Mozzie's Purpose

Neal and Mozzie are talking and walking in New York in White Collar.

Involving Taylor could allow the White Collar revival a clever way to bring Neal back and also fill in a missing part of the story that was once taken by Mozzie (Willie Garson). White Collar's season 6 finale essentially ended Peter and Neal's relationship as Neal was forced to flee to Paris to escape the Pink Panthers. Taylor mentioned having a job lined up in Paris during his appearance, making him an easy throughline to complicate Neal and Peter's reunion further. Neal could have reconnected with Taylor in the intervening years, with the two working together until Peter catches them.

Either option lets the White Collar revival explore an underused character and keep the heart of the story intact as Neal continues to battle his conscious years later.

Taylor would, if this were to be the series' inciting incident, take over for Mozzie as he was also attempting to tempt Neal back to their life of crime but never truly did. Even if Taylor comes in later this could still work as planning with Taylor could remind Neal of his love of the con, splitting himself between his impulses and his desire for a more stable existence once more. Either option lets the White Collar revival explore an underused character and keep the heart of the story intact as Neal continues to battle his conscious.
