Warning: SPOILERS ahead for The White Lotus season 3, episode 2!Jennifer Coolidge has reacted to one star of The White Lotus season 3 has featured the return of two characters introduced in season 1, those being Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) and Greg (Jon Gries). The latter married Tanya (Coolidge) before the events of season 2, later trying to kill her to get her money. In season 3, he's going under the identity of Gary, dating an ex-model named Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) while living in Thailand.

Speaking with Forbes, Coolidge lamented not being able to show up in The White Lotus season 3 following her character's death in season 2, but praised creator Mike White for his storytelling. In particular, she focused on Gries' return as Greg, saying she hopes "they do something terrible to him" as the story continues. She also predicts some major catastrophes for the new characters in future episodes. Check out what Coolidge had to say below:

Look, it’s not like I haven’t wished or whatever, but it isn’t happening. It doesn’t matter - they don’t need me. [Series creator] Mike White can tell a story better than anybody. I mean, in the first episode [of season three], I felt like - Oh, this is going to be really good! I just felt like everything he set up - it’s really eerie - you’re not quite sure what people are up to yet. My guess? Something’s going to go horribly wrong. I think it’s really going to go wrong. Mike White, he wants us to have it all, I think. I can’t wait. As you know, [actor] Jon Gries has shown up [again as Tanya’s former husband, Greg]. I hope he gets it! I hope they do something terrible to him.

Will Tanya's Former Husband Face Justice?

The White Lotus season 2 ended with Tanya trying to escape a group of men led by British expat Quentin (Tom Hollander), who'd been hired by Greg to kill her so he could get her money. While she managed to shoot them all, she fell off the boat and died, with the fate of her inheritance afterward seemingly going to her former husband. However, it's unclear why he's in Thailand with Chloe, with no confirmation yet if he's truly trying to escape from the events of season 2, or if he's pulling a scam on the former model.

So far, Greg and Chloe have only interacted with Rick (Walton Goggins) and Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wood), offering little information about their personal lives so far. But other characters in The White Lotus season 3 may get involved soon, with Belinda seemingly recognizing him from afar. This means Coolidge could get what she wants from the story, as he could be directly implicated in Tanya's death depending on the future events that unfold. He could also be gearing up for a new scheme that involves the hotel, explaining why he's spending so much time there.

Rick & Chelsea Could Be The Key To His Storyline

Belinda may recognize Tanya's former husband from the hotel in Hawaii, but it seems like Rick and Chelsea's interactions with him could be the most important part of his storyline. Rick is going to Bangkok in search of the hotel owner, Jim (Scott Glenn), leaving his wife on her own. She's bound to keep talking with Chelsea and Greg, her isolation possibly making her another target for the returning character. With six episodes left in The White Lotus season 3, it remains to be seen if Coolidge will get her wish regarding his fate.
