Warning! This article contains spoilers for Your Friends & Neighbors' episode 6.

Paul's unexplained death remains one of the biggest mysteries in Your Friends & Neighbors, but the show has seemingly dropped enough clues for viewers to theorize who might have killed him. Your Friends & Neighbors opened with a flash-forward scene in which Jon Hamm's character found himself next to a man's dead body. In this scene, he desperately tried to hide the evidence of his presence at the crime scene before recalling all the events that led him to the moment.

After walking through all the little developments that led the character, Andrew Cooper, to the crime scene, Your Friends & Neighbors' episode 5 finally circles back to the opening moment. This not only confirms the identity of the dead man but also raises many questions about who might have killed him. The scene makes it obvious that Jon Hamm's Andrew Cooper likely had little to do with Paul's demise. However, he might have to figure out the truth about Paul's murderer's identity before law enforcers find leads that make him a primary suspect in the case.

Unbeknownst to him, someone visits Sam's house before him and commits a heinous crime. Moments after Cooper enters the house, he slips on some blood on the floor, hits his head on the ground, and loses consciousness.

Who Killed Paul In Your Friends & Neighbors?

Sam Seems The Most Obvious Suspect

Since Sam was gradually growing resentful towards her ex-husband, she has to be seen as the main suspect. However, Sam being the killer would be a little too obvious. Given how Cooper has been a reliable narrator so far, he seems not to have contributed directly to the murder. However, his criminal endeavors might have triggered a chain reaction of events that led to the crime.

This makes them suspects as well, since they, too, might have tried to break into Samantha's house to steal something before running into Paul. Your Friends & Neighbors' season 1 will likely delve deeper into this mystery in its episodes while walking through Andrew Cooper's downward spiral and struggles with morality.
