Warning: SPOILERS for Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3.

Thanks to another surprise actor cameo, viewers might question who Zach Braff plays in Hayden Christensen's Darth Vader would appear, but the involvement of a young Leia Organa and cameos from Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea are just a few of the surprise reveals. Obi-Wan Kenobi keeps the actor cameos coming, with Zach Braff having a credited role.

One of the advantages for Star Wars is that the projects can routinely attract big names for small parts, such as Stormtroopers, droids, or random aliens. This is how Daniel Craig cameoed in Obi-Wan Kenobi cast has already shown some other examples of this by having Kumail Nanjiani play a minor role in episode 2.

To the surprise of many Obi-Wan Kenobi viewers, the credits for episode 3 confirm that Zach Braff played a secret role in the series. The episode primarily followed Obi-Wan and Leia's time on Mapuzo, which included them encountering multiple Stormtroopers, a few locals, and more. Who Zach Braff plays in Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 is not confirmed in the credits, but it appears that he is the voice of Freck, a mole-like alien who helps transport Obi-Wan and Leia across the planet. Braff gives Freck a Seth Rogen-like voice, which led to some confusion that Rogen was in Obi-Wan, but that is not the case based on the official credits.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 3 Freck

Zach Braff is best known for his leading role in Scrubs as J.D. opposite Donald Faison, who is also part of the Star Wars franchise after voicing Hype Fazon on Star Wars Resistance. He also recently made an appearance on Disney+ thanks to a starring role in the Cheaper By The Dozen reboot. Zach Braff's Obi-Wan Kenobi role marks a return to Disney's streaming service, even if it was in a much smaller capacity. However, it is unknown if Braff just provided the voice for Freck or if he was on set and inside the alien suit, as Simon Pegg did as Unkar Plutt in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Despite mostly playing good guys, Freck presents a bit of a change for Zach Braff. The Star Wars alien works closely with the Empire and tells the Stormtroopers it is worth investigating Obi-Wan and Leia's story. But after playing J.D. for nearly a decade, Braff's Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 3 role as Freck should not be nearly as big of a commitment. He is knocked unconscious by the Jedi during a scuffle, but he will likely have to answer for the deaths of multiple Stormtroopers.
