Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Landman episode 4.Angela (Ali Larter) made a few surprising decisions in Landman's cast of characters meet when Angela and Rebecca interacted at the Patch Café. That interaction was a bit confusing, though, as Angela got jealous of Rebecca and immediately got back together with Tommy afterwards.
Landman has done quite a bit to show that Angela and Tommy don't like each other so far. From Tommy's horror music ringtone for his ex-wife to Angela's frequent snide comments about her ex-husband, the show has made it clear that there's no love lost. That only makes Angela's desire to get back together with Tommy - as well as Tommy's acceptance of the plan - even more confusing. There is, however, a fairly simple reason why Angela got jealous of Rebecca and why she got back together with Tommy: she still loves her ex.
Angela's Jealousy Was Because She Regrets Leaving Tommy
Angela Married Her New Husband For Money But Missed Tommy's Personality
Rebecca smartly pointed out that Angela had no reason to be jealous of her. However, Angela made it clear by the end of Landman episode 4 that she regretted ever leaving Tommy in the first place. From the very moment Angela first appeared on Landman, when she called Tommy and tried to make him jealous with her outfit, it was clear that she still had an interest in her ex-husband. In Landman episode 4, Angela outright explained that she liked Tommy better than her current husband by saying "I've lived the alternative. I'll take great sex and a laugh any day. What else is there?"

Taylor Sheridan's New Show Beats Yellowstone For Top Streaming Spot
Yellowstone’s reign on the streaming charts is cut short by another Taylor Sheridan show, although both dramas beat out impressive competition.
There are also a couple of factors at play for Angela aside from Tommy himself. Angela married her current husband because his money would provide for Cooper and Ainsley, but now Ainsley asked Tommy to live with him instead of Angela. It's possible that Angela wanted to get back together with Tommy to stay closer to Ainsley, in addition to her jealousy. Angela also got jealous of Rebecca for a reason, and the young lawyer may have reminded Angela that her ex-husband won't always be available to toy with.
What Angela Getting Back Together With Tommy Means
Angela & Tommy's Reunion In Landman Will Likely Lead To Stress & Tension
Though Angela and Tommy's make-up made everyone happy, it likely won't remain that way. As Tommy pointed out, all the problems they had as a couple are still problems now, and they'll take their toll sooner or later. Tommy's not going to give less to his job, and Angela's not going to appreciate playing second fiddle to Monty Miller (Jon Hamm). Tommy and Angela's relationship could be doomed to fail, and it could be the way Landman ups the suspense and tension in Tommy's personal life.
Tommy's not going to give less to his job, and Angela's not going to appreciate playing second fiddle to Monty Miller (Jon Hamm).
If Tommy is forced to deal with another ugly breakup with Angela, it'll only make his problems on the oil patch worse. Even if Angela and Tommy don't break up, their relationship will probably add to the tension of Landman. Angela has an enormous personality, and she's already publicly embarrassed and caused problems for Tommy at the country club. If she stays at Tommy's house for the rest of the season, she'll be even more capable of throwing a wrench in his personal life and giving him even more fires to put out.
Could Landman Really Also Have A Romance With Tommy & Rebecca?
Landman May Have Laid The Groundwork For Rebecca & Tommy To Grow Closer
Tommy and Angela are likely going to break up again at some point in Landman, and the show may have already set up a different romantic interest for Billy Bob Thornton's character. Angela's jealousy all started with Rebecca, as she thought she was Tommy's "side piece." It's possible that Landman is preparing to put Tommy and Rebecca in a romantic relationship together. While that would be an uncomfortable pairing - Rebecca herself noted the 30-year age gap between them - it also wouldn't be completely unfounded, as Landman has laid a bit of groundwork for them to start dating.

Landman Season 2: Confirmation, Cast & Everything We Know
Taylor Sheridan's newest drama series, Landman, has struck oil on Paramount+, and now the Billy Bob Thornton-led series has earned a season 2 renewal.
Through the first four episodes of Landman, Rebecca and Tommy have already grown rather close. Their strong personalities have already clashed on numerous occasions, Tommy saved Rebecca from the rattlesnake at the wind turbines, and they established a fairly natural rapport. Tommy and Rebecca already mesh well together platonically, so it wouldn't take much for Landman to bring them together romantically. It'll be a bit jarring and controversial to see a young lawyer like Rebecca in bed with a middle-aged oilman like Tommy, but if that's the direction Landman is heading, the show has done the legwork to make their relationship believable.

Set in West Texas, this series explores the world of oil rigs and the fortunes they create. It portrays a modern upstairs/downstairs narrative of roughnecks and billionaires, highlighting the profound impact on the climate, economy, and geopolitics in these boomtowns.
