Bel-Air will end with season 4, but there is absolutely no chance that the show can end in the same way as the original. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air proved to be an immensely popular sitcom back in the 1990s, and it propelled the lead, Will Smith, to new heights of stardom. So, when the show was remade in 2022, it was strange to see a beloved comedy series take on a whole different angle. True, the characters' names remained the same, and some of their quirks, but the show had a different heart.
Bel-Air is much more authentic in the way it tells stories about the experiences of the character, Will Smith. Exploring the challenges of growing up in a rough neighborhood, getting involved with gang violence, and moving away in order to stay safe. But now, after just four seasons, Bel-Air will conclude its story, and it's hard to imagine that the series can replicate the ending of The Fresh Prince. The Fresh Prince ran for six seasons, and included 148 episodes. And while the episode duration for Bel-Air runs anywhere between two to three times the average length of an episode of Fresh Prince, four seasons of the show with only 10 episodes per season has resulted in a compounded story that covers a much smaller timeline.

The finale of The Fresh Prince saw the Banks family set off in different directions. Carlton went away to study at Princeton, Ashley and Hilary moved to New York for work, followed by most of the remaining family, and Geoffrey went to London to be with his son. Meanwhile, Will stays behind to finish his studies, and continues growing, having taken the lessons learned with the Banks to heart. But Will hasn't had enough time with the in Bel-Air for this ending to work. At this point, it would just feel like Will is abandoned by the people he has opened his heart to.

Bel-Air Can Deliver A Unique And Satisfying Ending
Season 3 ended with some explosive cliffhanger moments. Will was kidnapped, and Lamarcus, Hilary's new husband, had a potentially fatal heart problem that caused him to faint. With things so unsteady, and the family just finding their way back to each other after Will's stint on his own, everyone needs to come together more than ever. So Bel-Air season 4 is likely to focus on this at first. When it reaches the finale, depending on what has occurred up to that point, the show could see Will and Carlton become independent together, with their business thriving.
But in of the wider Banks family, it should keep everyone close together, ing and uplifting each other. Hilary will likely need a lot of , Geoffrey continues to face the consequences of leaving his son for so long without a father, and Will has had some unpleasant run-ins with his biological father. Will could also receive scholarships for basketball, though whether that is the dream he chooses to follow, or some hybrid which includes working alongside Carlton, remains to be seen in Bel-Air's final season.
