Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Invincible season 3, episode 7!

All kinds of new versions of Invincible are introduced in Invincible season 3, episode 7 sees Mark Grayson face off against himself, with him having to take on an entire army of evil Invincibles. However, these Invincibles are not evenly matched, with Mark proving that he is the strongest Mark in Invincible.

Invincible season 3, episode 7 finally adapts the Invincible War storyline, with this being one of the most anticipated episodes that the show has had yet. As Invincible season 3, episode 6 teased, season 2's villain Angstrom Levy returns to Mark Grayson's home universe. However, he isn't alone. Angstrom has brought with him an army of evil Mark Graysons, with these alternate Invincibles entering the show's main universe and wreaking havoc. Mark has to stop the different Invincibles before they cause too much damage, although he eventually overpowers them.

Mark Grayson Not Being Evil Has Forced Him To Become Stronger Than The Other Invincibles

Which Is Why He Could Beat Them

All of the Invincibles seen in Invincible season 3, episode 7 have slight differences in appearance, although much bigger differences in morals and strength. Out of all of the Invincibles seen in the episode, the main Mark Grayson is the only one who isn't evil. Every other Mark Grayson has been corrupted in some way, whether they ed the Viltrum Empire or became an authoritarian leader on their own. Being good has required the main Mark Grayson to become stronger, with this being the only reason that he is able to defeat the others.

Invincible's Title Card Gag Has Been Running Since The Start, But Season 3 Just Had The Best One Yet

Invincible's title card gag has become one of the show's most iconic traditions, and season 3 just implemented it perfectly into the story.

Since Mark Grayson isn't evil, he has had to fight off some of the Invincible universe's most powerful foes. These other Mark Graysons haven't had to fight figures like Omni-Man and Anissa, and they haven't had to prepare for the Viltrumite invasion of Earth. This is because many of them bent the knee to Nolan or the Viltrum Empire. Since they didn't have bigger threats to ward off, they were fine coasting with the power level that they naturally had. This was the fatal flaw in Angstrom Levy's plan, with it allowing the main Invincible to win the Invincible War.

Mark Underwent Intense GDA Training Between Invincible Seasons 2 & 3

While Preparing For The Viltrumite Invasion

As Cecil explains in episode 7, he knew that the main Mark Grayson would be more powerful than the other Invincibles, and this is thanks to his GDA training. After learning about the inevitable arrival of the Viltrum Empire, the GDA began to heavily train Mark, preparing him to fight off an army of Viltrumites. This can be seen in Invincible season 3, episode 1, with Invincible using the villain Giant as a training partner and even lifting some of the heaviest items on Earth.

This training regimen is something that the evil versions of Mark Grayson didn't have to go through, as they weren't working with the GDA in their universe. This is another thing that gave Mark a leg up over Angstrom Levy's Invincible army, with him having been trained just for this. While Mark didn't expect the next Viltrumites that he would face to be himself, he was prepared to fight any Viltrumites that came his way, meaning that he had what it took to defeat the Mark Graysons that invaded his Earth.

The Real Invincible Has A Lot More To Lose Compared To His Evil Variants

His Family Is Still Alive

Another reason that Mark Grayson was able to overcome his alternate universe counterparts is that he had a lot more to lose than his variants. The other Mark Graysons have already destroyed their worlds, lost their mothers and loved ones, and killed millions. The main Mark Grayson, however, still has a relatively peaceful world, meaning that he understands that these Mark Graysons will want to take that away from him.

Invincible Season 3 Has Finally Stopped Ignoring Season 2's Best New Hero

Invincible season 2 introduced one of the show's best superheroes, but after being sidelined in season 3, episode 6 finally gave them the spotlight.

Since the other Mark Graysons didn't fight their versions of Nolan, then this means that Oliver Grayson probably doesn't exist in their universe. Thus, Mark has another loved one to fight for that these variants didn't even know. They are also fighting on Mark's home turf, meaning that he understands that he must defend his home more than he has in any other episode of Invincible.
