Since its pilot episode, Will Trent has had the same main cast, but that finally changes in season 3 when a new (and familiar) face is added to the roster. The ABC crime drama show is based on Karin Slaughter's book series of the same name, revolving around Will Trent, a highly skilled GBI (Georgia Bureau of Investigation) special agent with a troubled past. When Will Trent begins, Will is many years into his job, surrounded by his loved ones, coworkers, and beloved pet chihuahua. Unfortunately, his relationship with all of them (excluding his dog) is strained to differing degrees.

New episodes of Will Trent season 3 air on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on ABC. Season 3 consists of 18 episodes.

The police procedural series has also featured numerous exciting guest stars who have played a role in Will's life since its first season, including Mark-Paul Gosselaar in the Will Trent pilot (and other episodes). Consequently, it stands to reason that season 3 will have even more talented and renowned actors. As for the main cast, every star who has been a series regular since the start retains their status in Will Trent season 3, while a new actress s the group during the premiere.
