A 3D artist has created some breathtaking images showing what played by Mads Mikkelsen. While many fans of The Witcher series have come to know and love Henry Cavill as Geralt in the popular Netflix series, fan drawings depicting other actors in the role have been circulating the internet since as far back as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. Despite not being the first game in the series, The Witcher 2 was instrumental in bringing in Witcher fans as it was the first title released on consoles.
Should Cavill ever decide to step away from the franchise, Mikkelsen certainly has the acting chops to take on the role. Just as importantly, he also appears to have some interest in roles involving the fantasy and sci-fi genres. He is currently set to star as Gellert Grindelwald in the Death Stranding (which is due for a PS5 upgrade). With performances like these under his belt, it seems fitting that he would fit right into The Witcher franchise in some capacity.

Of course, Geralt isn’t the only witcher in the game’s universe; although they are far fewer in number than they used to be, many others can be encountered during the Witcher 2 and 3. These most notably include Letho, a member of the School of the Viper and one of the second game’s antagonists, and other of Geralt’s own school such as Lambert and Vesemir. This means that while Mikkelsen probably won’t be stepping into Geralt’s shoes anytime soon, it isn’t out of the question for him to appear in the Netflix series in some capacity. Given the striking resemblance he has to Geralt in Cho’s artwork, he could even make for a fascinating foil to the main character.
Although Cho does not have any other posts in his ArtStation portfolio yet, he clearly possesses enough talent with 3D artwork software to be worth keeping an eye on. His profile lists experience with Photoshop, Substance Painter, ZBrush, and 3ds Max, the last of which he mentions he used to design Geralt’s hair. Everything from the shading, colors, and textures featured in these images make Cho’s vision a treat to behold and definitely something any fan of The Witcher should check out.
