Xbox is celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt by releasing new special edition controllers, but unfortunately, they're already out of stock. The Witcher 3 took the industry by storm in 2015, quickly becoming one of the greatest RPGs ever made, in most fans' opinions. The game would see two sizable expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, which added even more interest to the game. While The Witcher 3 won't be coming to Switch 2, it seems like Xbox is not through with Geralt's latest adventure yet.

After Xbox took to X to reveal the new Witcher 3 special edition controllers, both the Standard and Elite controllers sold out quickly, and it's easy to see why. Both feature the same design, paying homage to what's one of Geralt's greatest adventrues. The Standard controller is priced at $79.99, while the Elite controller is $169.99. It's unclear if Xbox will be restocking the controller, but resellers are already trying to capitalise on the sold-out item, with eBay listings already popping up at around the $200 USD mark.

The Perfect Way To Celebrate 10 Years Of The Witcher 3

It's A Beautiful Controller

The design of the controllers is stunning, making it easy to see why they sold out so quickly. Based on Geralt's two swords in Witcher 3, the controllers feature the iconic Witcher medallion design in a black color scheme with gray and red accents. The triggers and bumpers are also textured. The controller will feature button mapping and Bluetooth technology. The right grip features the iconic bloody "III" Roman numeral logo from the game's logo.

There Have Been A Lot Of Stellar Special Edition Controllers

There have been a lot of officially licensed Xbox special edition controllers and third-party controllers. Recently, DOOM: The Dark Ages got special edition controllers, featuring the iconic green color scheme of Doom Slayer, and an Elite one featuring fiery marks and a black base. GameStop had an exclusive limited-edition Xbox/PC wireless controller for Silent Hill 2 remake, too, that focused on the game's cover art. No matter what the game is, the controller designs are always really cool.

It remains to be seen if these Witcher 3 controllers will be restocked, but given how fast they sold out and how popular the game is, even 10 years later, it's probable the controllers will be available again. Of course, since some have already landed with resellers, it's hoped The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt special edition controllers are available again sooner rather than later.
