A voice actor for new games CDPR is working on. A long-time voice actor from the original Witcher trilogy shared some new information about the game, and fans will be thrilled to hear it.
In a video on the Fall Damage YouTube channel, voice actor Doug Cockle confirms that Geralt of Rivia will appear in the next Witcher game. Cockle has voiced Geralt since the first game in the series, and he's confirmed that he'll return in Polaris.
The surprise confirmation comes seven minutes into a video celebrating Cockle's most beloved lines from The Witcher series. Cockle takes a moment from recalling his favorite lines and discussing his career to drop the nugget of information about the next entry in the franchise. "The Witcher 4 has been announced," he says after recounting what follows the famous line from The Witcher 3, "Watch out, behind you!"

Exciting New Witcher 3 Official Update Will Completely Change The Game Forever
CD Projekt Red has released a massive new update for The Witcher 3 and it could give the game longevity akin to The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim.
Geralt Won't Be The Central Character In The Witcher 4
No News Yet On New Protagonist
The new reveal confirms that Geralt will be back in The Witcher 4 and still be voiced by the same actor. However, there's no news regarding the extent of his involvement in the games to follow. Cockle states: "I can't say anything about it. What we know is Geralt will be a part of it, but we don't know how much."
Cockle goes on to say that, although Geralt will be making an appearance, the story won't center around the previous games' protagonist. "He's not the focus of the game," says Cockle. "It's not about him this time." Considering how little is known about the next game right now, players might get to meet an older or younger Geralt in The Witcher 4.
Doug Cockle is intentionally vague in his revelations, as even he doesn't know yet who the next game will be about. He claims he hasn't seen the script yet and is "excited to find out." Even if he did know who The Witcher: Polaris will be about, he its that he can't tell fans yet. The Witcher 4 is still far off, having only entered pre-production in March 2024. Besides, he reminds fans, "I could be lying through my teeth." It's fair to say that fans of Geralt and The Witcher can remain hesitantly optimistic about seeing their beloved character again in future games.
