Wolverine Names Colossus "The Best of Us" (Then Kills Him)
Is Marvel Setting Up Colossus' Descendants to Take Revenge?
Wolverine: Revenge takes place in a near future where the disastrous explosion of Magneto's former Asteroid M base caused mass death and destruction, releasing an EMP blast that has fried technology across the Western world. Wolverine, Captain America and the Winter Soldier went on a mission to steal an experimental power generator from the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants but found themselves targeted by the villains. Colossus was revealed as a surprise member, arguing to Wolverine that America had no claim to the generator, and that the Western world had to fall for the East to survive.
In issue 3, Logan goes up against Colossus, trying to understand why his friend would betray him, allying with the villains who ultimately killed Cap and Bucky. Colossus explains he did it for his family, who he implies are sheltering in a house nearby. While Wolverine kills Colossus during their fight, it's likely that the resident of that house is going to matter a lot. Solicit information has revealed Revenge will continue for several more generations, with the possibility that the 'revenge' in the title may be Colossus' descendants targeting Wolverine for his death.
Why Wolverine Considers Colossus "The Best of Us"
They Both Believe in Sacrifice
Wolverine calling Colossus "the best of us" may surprise some fans, given his close friendship with Nightcrawler and deep respect for Cyclops, however Piotr Rasputin has long been depicted as the member of the X-Men who is most willing to sacrifice himself and hates violence most. Wolverine has known Colossus since he was 17, and was there for many key events of his life, helping him through break-ups and his sister being kidnapped to the Limbo dimension.
Wolverine places a lot of stock in sacrifice, and has explained in the past that he sees it as his role to do mutantkind's dirty work so that the X-Men aren't stained by it. It makes sense that he'd see Colossus, who gave his life to end the Legacy Virus, as a symbol of goodness.

Marvel Has Become Obsessed with Evil Colossus
X-Men's Big-Hearted Hero Is Shifting to the Dark Side
The idea of Colossus becoming a villain is gaining in popularity. Not only does Wolverine kill his friend in Wolverine: Revenge, but over in Marvel's new Ultimate Universe, Colossus is one of the evil Maker's Council who secretly control world events. He'll be one of the main villains in Marvel's Ultimate Wolverine series from Chris Condon and Alessandro Cappuccio, having turned a new version of Wolverine into a living weapon for the Maker's regime.
Even in the mainstream, Colossus keeps turning evil. Most recently because his brother controlled his mind, forcing him to kill his partner and betray the X-Men, but even before that he was corrupted by the Juggernaut's powers, fighting the urge to unleash endless destruction and death. This tendency to force Colossus into darkness shows that Marvel agrees with Wolverine's assessment - Colossus really is the X-Men's most moral member, and it's made turning him 'evil' irresistible.
