Warning! Spoilers for Wolverine: Blood Hunt #3 ahead!
No one is better suited to the task of vampire hunter than Wolverine. With a healing factor that renders him practically invulnerable and also immune to diseases such as the vampire enzyme, he can fight against the monsters currently invading the Marvel Universe all through the long night. But when he discovers their power is too strong for even him, Wolverine decides to fight them on their home turf - and he has just the loophole to do it.
In Wolverine: Blood Hunt #3 by Tom Waltz and Juan José Ryp, Wolverine and his ally, vampire-traitor Nightguard, are on the hunt for Maverick, another of Wolverine's old allies turned vampire, and Alyssa, a rogue vampire queen. As they hack through the levels of a dark cavern, Wolverine decides to surprise his enemies by taking his human signature off the map.
With the loophole of distracting his healing factor with a katana directly piercing his midsection, his immune system therefore becomes vulnerable. His confidant, Nightguard, gives him the long kiss of the night, gifting him with several new powers in addition to his adamantium skeleton and his enhanced healing factor that is owed to Wolverine after his long history.

Wolverine Could Become the New Vampire King
The vampire Queen Alyssa is looking for a king, and Wolverine is a perfect choice for this role. The line between vampire-hunters and vampires is blurred because Wolverine has crossed over to the other side in an effort to gain power over his enemies. While he is trying to fight fire with fire, Wolverine at his most powerful might just be what the vampires want. After all, it wouldn't be the first time that Wolverine's body has been used as a weapon to further a war.
It might not be long until Wolverine gets his own taste for blood and uses his teeth instead of his claws. His own unique metahuman bloodstream, altered by the vampire enzyme, might just evolve into a new breed of vampires with a healing factor that could survive even Godzilla's atomic breath. As he descends further into the night, becoming the very thing he is trying to destroy, Wolverine might discover that there are some dark things that not even his healing factor can save him from.
