Wonder Woman's Daughter TRINITY Takes the Spotlight in a Surprise New Solo Series

Lizzie Prince, the daughter of Wonder Woman, is getting her own solo series as Trinity, and with it may come answers about the nature of her origin.

This isn't the first time Wonder Woman has had a child, believe it or not. In Justice League #27 by Bryan Hitch and Fernando Pasarin, Wonder Woman discovers she has a son in an alternate future. Moreover, her Earth-2 variant has a daughter with Steve Trevor. This new take on Wonder Woman as a mother is already proving to have a major impact, though, because it's a core part of her story within the main DC Universe. Wonder Woman will raise Lizzie Prince from infancy, as opposed to her being a grown child from another world. As such, this massive change to Wonder Woman's status quo is unlike anything that's been done before.

Wonder Woman's Daughter Has a Connection to Her Darkest Villain Yet

The Sovereign May Be Involved in Trinity's Origin

Comic book art: Wonder Woman stands to the left of the Sovereign in regal attire.

In the interview, King goes on to tease a potential connection between Trinity and the Sovereign, power of his Lasso of Lies, the Sovereign has brainwashed and tortured Diana in an attempt to break her down, yet Wonder Woman overpowers him through sheer will. Though King shares that the Sovereign's story will come to an end in Wonder Woman #19, there is still plenty to be explored with this formidable foe until then, judging by his impending role in the rise of Trinity.

The Sovereign first appeared in Wonder Woman #1 by Tom King and Daniel Sampere, available now from DC Comics.

There's no telling what Trinity's connection to the Sovereign will be within this story, but they've already crossed paths in another. In the Trinity story from Wonder Woman #800, Lizzie, ed by her versions of Superman and Batman, seeks out the Sovereign to get answers about her origin. The narration in the current Wonder Woman series is him recalling that tale to Trinity during their encounter, which proves that the story of Wonder Woman's fight against the Sovereign is directly related to the birth of her daughter in some way.

With the Birth of Wonder Woman's Daughter, a Major Character May Face Death

Could This Be the Last Stand of Steve Trevor?

Wonder Woman crosses her bracelets in front of an image of Steve Trevor holding her from behind.

In addition to the Sovereign, another prominent Wonder Woman character's fate may be intertwined with that of Trinity. This man is Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's romantic interest. The two are in a good place after their ionate reunion in Wonder Woman #13 by King and Tony S. Daniel, but their relationship might be doomed to a tragic end. The synopsis for Wonder Woman #14 hints that Steve Trevor will die, and the folded American flag - a tradition for military funerals - pictured next to baby Lizzie in Sampere's variant cover suggests that Steve's death will coincide with the birth of Wonder Woman's child.

[Spoiler] Is the Sole Reason Wonder Woman Will NEVER Turn Evil

A DC Black Label comic has revealed that the sole reason Diana Prince will never turn evil is because of her unwavering love for one human.

The question on most readers' minds when it comes to Trinity is who her parents are. While Wonder Woman is her mother, there's a chance she's her adoptive mother. It's possible that Trinity will be made of clay the way Wonder Woman was. Another theory is that she's the biological daughter of Emelie, a fellow Amazon who's pregnant. If that's the case, it's still unclear who Trinity's father will be. Steve Trevor is the most likely candidate, given his prevalence in the story. This possibility would make him dying right as Trinity is born even more tragic, as he wouldn't get to meet his own daughter.
