Overwatch 2 is known for having some of the most iconic crossovers when it comes to Blizzard titles, and the newly-announced World of Warcraft collaboration should see its fans diving into the world of Overwatch. World of Warcraft is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Blizzard isn't holding back on the festivities.

Confirmed by Blizzard, Frostmourne is making its way to Overwatch 2 alongside new skins and more for fans of both titles to enjoy. Four Overwatch 2 heroes will take on the appearance of some of the most iconic and well-known characters from the World of Warcraft lore, including Reinhardt, Zenyatta, Torbjörn and Widowmaker.

Widowmaker will gain the banshee queen skin, sporting Sylvannas Windrunner in all of her glory including her bow and arrow, whereas Reinhardt will morph into none other than Arthas as the Lich King himself. Zenyatta will have a Thrall-inspired skin, while Torbjörn will sport the look of Magni Bronzebeard who made the ultimate sacrifice for Khaz Modan during the Cataclysm.

Prepare To Spend A Pretty Penny On Skins

Lich King Reinhardt in Overwatch 2-1

As with most Overwatch 2 skins, fans can expect to spend a decent chunk of change to acquire the entire bundle. The Warcraft Mega Bundle will cost 5700 Overwatch Coins, Sylvanas Widowmaker is 2600, Thrall Zenyatta will cost 2500, Magni Torbjörn is 2400, and Reinhardt as the Lich King will cost 2600 Overwatch Coins.

One of the saving graces of Overwatch 2 is that the Battle can allow players to earn themselves coins as they progress through the ranks. Sadly, the Battle does not give enough of the coins to snag every skin during the crossover event, meaning those who want the entire collection will need to pay real money to do so. The new skins and more will be available from September 17 until September 30, giving ample time to save up to get one - or all of them - to call their own.

Overwatch 2 Season 12 Reveals New Hero, Skins, & Game Mode

Overwatch 2 sheds more light on Season 12, providing players with insight into the new hero Juno, and the fast-paced action of the Clash game mode.

Just as players have seen with previous crossover events in Overwatch 2, the skins are not the only things available during the event. Legendary skins, epic emotes, and more are also available to collect. Playing during the event at any point can also bag fans free rewards including sprays, charms, icons, and name cards to show World of Warcraft pride with style. The Mega Bundle mentioned earlier will include all of the cosmetics and skins available, so avid collectors and completionists should opt for this bundle.

There are plenty more interesting things coming to the first-person hero shooter, including limited-time modes, the April Fools 2024 arcade mode, Mirrorwatch, and Prop Hunt. The news of this crossover event was released just a few weeks after the revelation that Overwatch 2 had made its way to Xbox Game , following suit with other Blizzard titles such as Diablo 4. As an avid World of Warcraft player and fan, skins hitting close to home like this are fun to collect while they are around and the fact that you can keep them after the event ends makes for even more memories to make down the line.
