Despite a previous delay, release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands.
When Blizzard first announced the Shadowlands delay, many fans were pleased that the company was taking its time to make improvements to the expansion. The company offered refunds to players who weren't happy, and there was speculation Shadowlands would even be the last World of Warcraft expansion. Now, though, it appears World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is back on track and ready for release soon.
The Shadowlands pre-patch already arrived in WoW, which means players can already get used to features like a new level squish and tutorial zone for beginners. With many returning World of Warcraft characters, Shadowlands is offering veterans and newcomers an enticing new storyline. Before the game officially releases on November 23rd, Blizzard is starting a pre-launch event that promises players a chance to take on a flood of the Scourge.
The Pre-Launch Event & New Raid For WoW: Shadowlands
The pre-launch event for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will kick off on November 10th. Blizzard has taken this extra time between the original release date and now to focus on making changes to the Maw endgame and Covenants, and adding quality-of-life improvements. It's good that the game's developers listened to players who complained of these issues during World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' beta, and it will be interesting to see how many of these desired changes have actually been implemented into the final version of the game.
In addition to the pre-launch event on November 10th, the first raid for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will arrive shortly after the expansion releases. Castle Nathria will release on December 8th and take adventurers into Sire Denatharius' lair in the realm of Revendreth. This will also mark the official start of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Season 1. Since this starts December 8th, it means players will have around two weeks to get used to the changes and new content in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands after it fully releases.
Fans are understandably excited that there's now an official new release date for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. It had been a source of major uncertainty within the fandom when the delay was announced without a new release date. While the pre-patch is currently live, the Shadowlands pre-launch event starts November 10th, with the first new raid starting on December 8th.
