When World of Warcraft: Shadowlands releases, it's bringing in all sorts of new features and changes into WoW. The eighth and latest expansion has changed the way the game is played in quite a few ways, including a level squish and Covenants system. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands also features a new character progression system called Soulbinding.

To unlock Soulbinding, players will first need to one of the four Covenants in the game. These Covenants are the Kyrians, Necrolords, Night Fae, and Venthyr. ing a Covenant in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands offers players a chance to benefit from a variety of signature Covenant abilities, as well as class-specific boons. Once a Covenant is ed and that Covenant's campaign questline is completed, players will have access to the new Soulbinding system.

Once World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' Soulbinding is unlocked, adventurers can choose one of three NPCs in their Covenant to Soulbind with. This means the player will then share a Soulbinding talent tree with that specific NPC. For anyone familiar with talent tree systems in other games, Soulbinding in Shadowlands should feel pretty similar. Players progress through the tree, unlocking more talents as they go. Players must then place the correct Conduit in a corresponding socket on the Soulbinding talent tree in order to use that skill or benefit from that bonus.

Soulbinding Offers Customization Beyond Level 60 In WoW

The real purpose of Soulbinding in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is to offers players customization options for their characters once they reach the maximum level of 60. Each tree has empty sockets (pictured above) that allows players to place whatever Conduits they choose. Due to the branching of the trees, some Conduits won't be accessed at all during progression. Through Soulbinding, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players can decide which traits they'd like their characters to have - and which ones are worth ing on.

Extra Soulbind Rows in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands are unlocked as adventurers gain Renown for their Covenant. This allows more Conduits to be placed on more rows within the Soulbinding talent tree. If someone wishes to reset their Soulbinding talents, that can currently be done at the Forge of Bonds in the Covenant Sanctum - and at low cost. It's just one of the many benefits from ing a Covenant in Shadowlands.

Overall, Soulbinding seems like a good way to keep players interested once they reach level 60 in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands' endgame. With empty sockets and multiple Soulbind Rows, this new system offers great customizability. And since traits can be reset, players shouldn't have to worry too much about their Soulbinding choices when World of Warcraft: Shadowlands releases.
