WoW, released shortly before its 20th anniversary. Like the associated expansion, it brings with it many new concepts, including new forms of side content, currency, and gear.
Since patch 11.0.7's launch on October 31, 2024, players have had the opportunity to explore Siren Isle, discovering ancient secrets buried beneath it. But for anyone jumping into the new zone for the first time, a sort of tour guide might be helpful in guiding their exploration. Here's everything players can expect to find on Siren Isle.
WoW's Siren Isle Brings New Currency, Enemies, & More
What's New On Siren Isle
Siren Isle introduces new enemy types, a new form of currency, and some new endgame content to World of Warcraft. First are the three enemy types, which will rotate out weekly. These include the Bloodwake Vrykul, seafaring warriors of the expedition isles. Players will also fight giant, hostile Naga, of a water snake species who erupt from the shallows around Siren Isle. In addition, they'll encounter various factions of pirates as they explore the new zone, competing over the riches purported to line Siren Isle's abandoned mines.

WoW: The War Within Would Be So Much Better If It Added This Race
World of Warcraft: The War Within adds a new playable race to the faction war, except the new addition feels awkward when compared to another option.
As they explore the island and complete content, players will be rewarded with a new form of currency: Flame Blessed Iron. See the section below for more information on what Flame Blessed Iron can be spent on.
How WoW's Flame Blessed Iron Currency Works
What To Spend Flame Blessed Iron On
Flame Blessed Iron is Siren Isle's new exclusive currency, rewarded for completing a variety of different tasks in the new zone. It can only be spent on a limited menu of items, including mounts, gear, transmogs, and pets introduced in The War Within.
Players will also need to spend their Flame Blessed Iron on Major Expeditions and Cyrce's Circlet upgrades. These are two new gameplay features debuting in patch 11.0.7, as detailed below.
Siren Isle Gameplay & Story Details
What To Do On Siren Isle
Siren Isle is a rocky island divided between swamp and desert, with a landscape closely inspired by the American Southwest. Located in a particularly stormy region of the ocean, the island is often battered by violent storms. In the distant past, it was the site of a Kul Tiran azerite mine, but the Kul Tirans abruptly abandoned it one day for unknown reasons.
Now, a strange crystal on the island has been emanating strange blasts of energy, causing multiple factions of researchers to take an interest in the zone. Goblins, Earthen, and Arathi have all descended on the island, each looking to study (and possibly exploit) the crystal's power. The player is caught in the middle of this scholarly competition, traveling around in a zeppelin with the goblin Skaggit in search of answers.
Siren Isle is naturally designed for endgame players, so most of its content is high-level. There are plenty of secrets for players to discover in its treacherous, handcrafted caves. The island will be incredibly dynamic as the Vrykul, Naga, and pirate enemy types rotate out weekly, allowing players to have a different experience each week they .

World Of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary Event Is Solving Your FOMO Over Missed Mount
World of Warcraft is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with numerous events, but there's also a chance to get an incredibly rare mount again.
Players will also be able to participate in side content called Major Expeditions, in which they're required to donate Flame Blessed Iron to one of three factions: the Earthen, the Goblins, and the Arathi. Each of the three has become interested in a particular cave on Siren Isle, and once their donation bucket is full, will excavate it and reveal a unique event boss inside. By participating in Major Expeditions, players are effectively voting for which world boss they want to appear next, based on the rewards they'll have a chance to receive.
On Siren Isle, players can find a new ring called Cyrce's Circlet. This ring contains three sockets in which a variety of different gems can be placed, each one with a unique effect. They'll then unearth more gems as they travel around Siren Isle, significantly boosting their power during the current expansion, and ideally giving them a head start when the next one comes out.
And that's just about everything players can expect to find on Siren Island. The rest is up to the community to discover as they delve into World of Warcraft's latest patch.
