A new video for the WWE's previous video games. Right now, Bobby Lashley is actively competing as part of WWE’s Monday Night Raw brand and is set to face Brock Lesner for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble event later this week.

In the meantime, 2K Games and Visual Concepts have slowly begun pulling back the curtain on the WWE 2K22, which they promise will be a significant improvement over the infamous WWE 2K20. Indeed, the developers took a two-year-long sabbatical from mainline WWE games to re-evaluate and fine-tune its approach to the in-ring action of WWE, and recent promotional material for WWE 2K22 promises revamped graphics and controls. Many features from past WWE titles like the popular GM Mode will be returning for WWE 2K22 alongside a new stable-building MyFaction mode and a 2K Showcase centered around the legendary Rey Mysterio.

He won’t be the only popular superstar stepping into the virtual ring for WWE 2K22, as a recent promotional video on the official WWE Games Twitter confirms that Bobby Lashley is part of the game. The All Mighty himself appears in this video and jokes that he told 2K Games to “make my rating a thousand, but they said they couldn’t,” before revealing that his actual in-game OVR ranking (which is the total sum of all of a given wrestler's in-game stats) is a high 91. RealSport 101 compares this rating to Bobby Lashley's appearances in past WWE games like WWE 2K20, which had him at an 86 OVR. Lashley’s MyFaction card carries a pretty high ranking as well, raking him as a 72 OVR Gold card and putting him in the Superstars Series I pack - which is said to be the strongest in WWE 2K22.

Like all previous WWE games, WWE 2K22 ranks its line-up of playable characters based on their strength, speed, and charisma - as well as standing amid the actual WWE roster. WWE 2K22’s list of playable wrestlers has been the subject of much debate and speculation, as a recent wave of layoffs and releases has left the televised WWE landscape in a state of flux throughout 2021. Rumors have stated that WWE 2K22 might have one of the most outdated rosters in the history of the series, and it has been suggested that Visual Concepts was forced to drop its original plan to center the game around WWE’s NXT division - which has seen the lion’s share of these roster cuts.

However, Bobby Lashley is definitely going to appear in WWE 2K22, and his high OVR ranting of 91 means that The All Mighty will be as formidable a force in the virtual ring as he is on TV. Players will get the chance to step into the ring as Bobby Lashley and a wide assortment of other wrestlers when WWE 2K22 launches in March.
