WWE 2K25 has plenty of Superstars that you can unlock, but there are ten that I feel stand above the rest. One of the not-so-fun aspects about these Superstars is that you can get them normally, but you can also buy them, and the game encourages you to buy them. Every wrestler will have their stats displayed so you can make the choice yourself since that's not something you're told when looking to get them.
You can get variants of these wrestlers, and they have different stats but play very similarly. If there are variants, get the one you like the best. You can change the stats of these superstars, but keep in that kind of thing only works on exhibition and MyUniverse modes. Any changes you make will be reverted to normal in MyGM and MyFaction mode.
10 Booker T Is A Strong Start
WWE 2K25 Keeps Him Hard To Get
Booker T is first and is very important in WWE 2K25, but not so important that I'd recommend him over the other wrestlers here. You can spend 1,000 VC, and it'll be yours, or you can unlock "Ravishing" Rick Rude, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin '97, Hulk Hogan, and Wade Barret to get the 01 version, which comes with unlockable perk cards in WWE 2K25.

All Badges & How To Unlock Them In WWE 2K25
There are some badges that are worth your time in WWE 2K25, so make sure you know what they are and how to get them so you can stay ahead.
The 01 version is much weaker, with an OVR of 77, but the stronger one costs 1,000 VC. I recommend the stronger one because it's good for a low OVR. The stats above are for the stronger one, but if you don't want to spend your hard-earned VC, work toward the 01 version.
9 Andre, The Giant From Our Childhood Movies
The Friendly But Powerful Giant
You're going to have to earn 1,000 VC to get the late Andre the Giant in WWE 2K25. I recommend him because he looks so different from the other superstars. He's huge, but he is also a strong man singlet. He's well-known and has been in plenty of movies, but what's fun is how strong he is in WWE 2K25.
It feels like playing with a cheat code, and you're going to find that the game makes sure to have fun with it. He's also incredibly hard to pin and durable if hit high. However, he's a giant, so he's very slow and has super-low stamina.
8 "Macho Man" Randy Savage Is An Old Guard
Cup of coffee In The Big Time
If you like wrestling, you know who the late "Macho Man" Randy Savage is in WWE 2K25. He has been out of wrestling for about twenty years, so the game's model was when Savage was in the WWF before leaving for WCW. This is more about grabbing an icon than getting someone overpowered like Andrew The Giant.
He's above average in many stats and is a good general wrestler. He can be anything you need him to be but don't expect him to excel in any kind of fighting. However, he's pretty strong with agility, movement, and submission defense, so at least he's keeping up with everyone.
7 Eddie Guerrero Is Slept On But Has High OVR
I Like The Look of The 97 One Better
There are two versions of Eddie Guerrero in WWE 2K25, but I like the newer one better. He's much better than his variant, and the stats don't lie. He's strong with agility, stamina, movement speed, recovery, and everything that comes with a hard-working wrestler. It's hard to him up, and I'd say he's really worth the VC he cost me.
If you would rather have the '97 version, then feel free to spend your hard-earned VC there. Just keep in mind that these are sold separately, so if you want both, you need to earn 2,000 VC before you can get them.
If you buy WWE 2K25's special edition, you have a chance to get it with many wrestlers unlocked already.
6 Triple H '08 When He Was Hot In The Ring
Before He Wore A Suit To The Ring
This is pretty contentious since Triple H has two iconic years in WWE 2K25: the '08 and '14 versions. The '08 version is better because he is stronger and more recognizable. He has long blonde hair, doesn't seem as much of an owner, and has super-high stamina. I have nothing against the wrestler, but his age takes down his stats in '14.
Triple H is one of the few wrestlers with really low submission stats, but he makes up for it with almost every other stat.
He's powerful and can really put pain into your opponents before going down himself. I like him because this was around the time I watched wrestling, but he's still one of the best you can unlock.
5 Undertaker '98 With His Deadly Look
Not Over The Top But Scary Enough
This is another contentious wrestler choice in WWE 2K25, and if you disagree, choose any Undertaker you want. There are four in total, but the two that can be unlocked are Undertaker '98' and '03. They all have similar stats, but '98 is better than the '03 version. He's big but not super slow, although he runs out of stamina quickly.
Undertaker is great at big powerful blows, so play him that way to get the most out of him. He's going to give opponents a huge beat down before he comes close to getting knocked out. If you like the other versions, feel free to use them, but you'll miss out without the '98 Undertaker.
4 Batista Before He Went Into Movies
This Is Like A Collector's Superstar
It feels like Batista has lower stats than he should in WWE 2K25. Batista is one you should unlock, not just because his OVR is really high but also because he's a movie star now, and you'd be remiss not to have him. It's like a collectible in the game; even if you don't want him, you probably should get him.
The game still recognizes him as a high-level wrestler. Do not use Batista for things like submission or aerial blows. He's good at knocking opponents down to bits before taking them out. You're going to have a good time with things like weapons with Batista because he hit really hard with them.
3 Hollywood Hogan With A Tame Look
Somehow Got Stronger Around This Time
Hollywood Hogan is somehow stronger than the other Hogans in WWE 2K25. Like "Macho Man" Randy Savage, he comes from a different era of wrestling, when putting on a physical blow-for-blow show was very important. His stats reflect this: high recovery but low agility and stamina and submission defense but really low movement and agility.

Best Builds For The Island In WWE 2K25
These are the best builds in WWE 2K25 for The Island, because they are made for every player to do incredibly well as soon as they start.
He's a great grappler, and since this is him only a bit out of his prime, he puts on a strong show against almost every other wrestler. If you prefer his old-school looks, then more power to you. I just like his more tame Hollywood look and stronger stats better.

2 John Cena, The Beloved One
You Can't See Him, But He's Great
This would be a terrible WWE 2K25 list without a John Cena. He's been the reigning champion week after week for so long. He did everything he could for the WWE, and even though he turned heel, I still love him. He's very respected and loved in the industry, and the high stats reflect that.
John Cene is not a great Grappler or dive bomber; he's more of a striker-and-pin wrestler who likes to use the "five moves of doom." You can also use his Super Finisher in WWE 2K25 to secure a quick victory.
If you can use Cena to beat the stuffing out of your opponent and then pin them, you'll find it's a lot easier than what you'd typically expect with other wrestlers. There's no way this game would come out without showing love to one of the most important stars in the WWE.

1 The Rock '01 From Back In The Day
You Have To Smell What The Rock Is Cooking
I prefer the '01 Rock in WWE 2K25 because this is The Rock I saw as a kid. However, there are a lot of people who like his bald and very muscular return. I'd say get the one you want the best. This is the strongest currently, and the high stats make it feel like there's a lot of love for The Rock in the game.

His stats are unbelievably high, and if you could only get one right now, I'd say get The Rock. The only downsides to him are his agility, aerial, and running offense. Everything else is average or high, so he won't disappoint you anytime soon. If you like the newer versions, get them because they're pretty strong, too, in WWE 2K25.

WWE 2K25 introduces "La Isla," a semi-open world where players interact with WWE stars and other gamers, featuring a narrative centered on The Bloodline faction led by Roman Reigns. The game also debuts intergender matches, new fight types, and enhancements in My Faction and My Rise modes. With over 300 current and classic wrestlers, it's the franchise's largest roster to date. Set for release on February 14, 2025, with special editions available on February 7.
