The WWE. Released in English regions last year, Allstar features pugilists from all throughout SNK’s long-running King Of Fighters series as they engage in side-scrolling beat-em-up combat alongside a number of special guests, be they fellow video game characters or from another medium altogether.
Indeed, King Of Fighters Allstar has already featured a number of crossovers, with guest appearances from both PlayStation Portable title Neo Geo Heroes: Ultimate Shooting, and an entire crossover series with Capcom as part of the latter’s Vs. franchise.

WWE has currently been re-evaluating its video game strategy in the wake of the Brawlhalla last year.
Still, it’s surprising that it took this long for WWE to cross over with a bigger-name fighting game franchise like King Of Fighters, given that the company shares with the genre a penchant for seemingly impossible combat and over the top characters. Now they will have the chance to do exactly that with King Of Fighters Allstar X WWE, as players will see the worlds of the arcade and the Squared Circle collide on their mobile devices sometime in the near future.
