A new Rock Lee Naruto character for his birthday. Vega is a huge fan of Naruto and frequently shows her love for it with her outfits and social media. It is rather fitting that one skilled fighter would choose another.
Naruto began serializing in Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1999 and has since become an incredibly successful franchise spanning anime, animated feature films, video games, and light novels. The manga just wrapped up its twentieth anniversary in 2020 and 2022 will be the twentieth anniversary of the anime. It is one of the best-selling manga in history, so it's no wonder that it would pick up some high-profile fans.
Back in November, Queen Vega (the stage name of Thea Trinidad) shared her Rock Lee cosplay. It was shared in response to VIZ Media who sent birthday wishes to the master of the Drunken Fist technique himself. The cosplay is of Lee in his bodysuit, complete with his orange socks, belt, and Rock Lee's headband, which he sports around his waist like a belt. Also featured within one of the photos is Tubby, one of Vega's cats, sporting a Kurama hoodie.
Tubby isn't the only one of Vega's cats that likes Lee always seems to be able to make a situation humorous even when it shouldn't be - such as his infamous fight with Kimimaro.
This cosplay from Zelina Vega hits all the right notes. It includes his signature hair and nails the essential outfit elements that make Rock Lee so easy to identify. Even his wrist wraps and right leg wrap are ed for. The look is so good, Naruto could easily mistake Zelina Vega for Bushy Brow. Rock Lee likely received a lot of birthday wishes considering the amount of success he has had over the years, but one of the best notes of appreciation had to be this incredible cosplay. It brings together the worlds of hit manga series, Naruto, and WWE in a perfect combination.
