"I will not all two temporal anamolies to ruin the evolutionary opportunity that awaits us all," Mother Womb tells Kid Cable, just before she makes it clear she has the power to back this statement up.

The ending of Cable #2 is a great reveal, one that answers one question, while posing half a dozen more. Chief among them is who, or what, these versions of Magneto, Mr. Sinister, implying these could be clones. Neither of these explanations would be unexpected for a Cable story, and the promise of answers to come is an incredible end hook.

Cable #2 reveals Mother Womb to be behind the Neocracy, as she seeks to force humanity to evolve into her vision of its future, rather than letting progress take its course. In this way, Cable's story has drawn its thematic connections to the larger Fall of X story bringing the X-franchise's Krakoan Era to a close, even as it weaves its own distinct semi-standalone adventure. Mother Womb's Mutant Army Could Be Unstoppable

Given the massive power levels of Magneto, Apocalypse, Cyclops, and Jean Grey, they very well qualify as an army on their own. Even alone, the four mutants facing Kid Cable could prove to be far more than he can handle.

Given the massive power levels of Magneto, Apocalypse, Cyclops, and Jean Grey, they very well qualify as an army on their own. That said, the next issue of Cable could easily reveal them to be just the tip of the spear – if Mother Womb has the means to bind these iconic mutants to her will, there is little limit to who else could be at her disposal. Even alone, the four mutants facing Kid Cable could prove to be far more than he can handle, as he will have to confront the X-Men's very history itself to survive.
