Shared on Instagram by @nerd_alert_cosplay and @patloikaphotoworks, this cosplay puts the mutant villain on a throne, exuding his power. It masterfully brings iconic comic art into reality in a stunning costume display.

Stryfe, the supervillain clone of Nathan Summers, debuted in 1990 in The New Mutants #86. Created by Louise Simonson and Rob Liefeld, this alternate future version of Cable has frequently been pitted against the X-Force. Cable was already a popular Marvel hero within comics, but his cinematic debut in Deadpool 2 (2018) has only increased his popularity.

However, his villainous counterpart has yet to have his own debut. His elaborate design with 90s art-style backdrops would seem hard to reproduce in reality, yet @nerd_alert_cosplay has accomplished the feat masterfully.

Stryfe Cosplay Perfectly Recreates '90s X-Men Comic Cover

Stryfe's Strike Files (1993) Comes Alive in Brilliantly Detailed Recreation

Raised by Apocalypse, Stryfe hails from Earth-4935, and was initially cared for by Clan Askani, until he was discovered and adopted by the powerful mutant villain. As a result of his villainous upbringing and tendency to have run-ins with X-Force, Cable frequently faces off with his villainous clone. The cosplay by @nerd_alert_cosplay recreates Stryfe's Strike Files, labeled "An X-Cutioner's Song Addendum," which was published by Marvel in 1993. It featured work from Scott Lobdell, Fabian Nicieza, Greg Capullo, Andy Kubert, Jim Lee, Brandon Peterson, and others. Within it, Professor Xavier has access to a disk from Stryfe's moon base, containing his thoughts on numerous iconic mutants.

Since his debut, Stryfe has been a fearsome foe with a complex background and top-notch pedigree.

The cover of Stryfe's Strike Files is masterfully recreated in this cosplay by @nerd_alert_cosplay with help from @patloikaphotoworks, down to the smaller details. The screens surrounding Stryfe are filled with other cosplays of X-Men characters, where mutants were shown on similar screens in the original art. Included is Bishop, who was responsible for finding the disk in the base. Ultimately, the "collectable" comic issue ends with Xavier destroying the supervillain's files, choosing to hide them completely from his father, Scott Summers, and Jean Grey, his roundabout mother thanks to her clone, Madelyne Pryor.

Since his debut, Stryfe has been a fearsome foe with a complex background and top-notch pedigree. His parents are some of the strongest and best-known X-Men. His upbringing by Apocalypse granted him access to one of the strongest foes they've ever had, granting him an Omega-level source of strength to be molded by. All in all, this cosplay delivers one of the villain's most sinister compilations, perfectly channeling the power that Stryfe exudes. Despite his bold, 90s design, this cosplay and artistic recreation of Stryfe from @nerd_alert_cosplay and @patloikaphotoworks proves he could have a chance to truly stun audiences if allowed to have a live-action alter with the X-Men.
