As the next-gen console war rages on, Microsoft recently came out with an article that maps out all of the games that will be available for the backwards compatibility. Now, not only does Microsoft have the largest launch day lineup in Xbox history, there’s also a list of games that will be coming to the Xbox Series X and S shortly after launch day and later in the year.
Microsoft has been emphasizing the Xbox Series X and S backwards capability as well as Xbox Game . Some of the launch day titles will be available on Xbox Game as well. Physical copies of games on previous Xbox generations should also be able to play on the Xbox Series X, as long as they are compatible.
Alongside launch day games, Microsoft lists a few games that will be released and available after the November 10th release day of the Xbox Series X and S. Will Tuttle, Xbox Wire Editor-in-Chief, states in his Xbox Wire article, “Looking forward to this holiday, there will be more incredible games coming to Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S before the end of the year including Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launching November 13, Destiny 2: Beyond Light launching November 10 and optimized for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on December 8, and Xbox console launch exclusive The Medium on December 10. When Cyberpunk 2077 launches on November 19 it will look and play best on our next gen consoles and take advantage of Smart Delivery technology giving fans the best version for whatever Xbox console you own.”
