Microsoft has released a walkthrough video to get players acquainted with the which console they should purchase at launch.

There are numerous factors that contribute to the decision about which new console to invest in. This year, the decision is more complex than ever; the COVID-19 pandemic has devastated video game release schedules, and both consoles' launch libraries have been wracked with delays. Microsoft recovered from the delay of its flagship game Halo Infinite by purchasing Bethesda for billions of dollars, but Xbox head Phil Spencer has clarified that this sale Demon's Souls.

With the console launch so close it can almost be tasted, Microsoft has taken to Subnautica to show off how older games will benefit from the new console's technology. Gears 5, for instance, was optimized based on the PC version's Ultra settings, which weren't available on the Xbox One. The presenters also walked through social elements and the new Share button, which allows fans to quickly take screenshots and record footage without taking them out of the action. Using the new Xbox app, this footage can be shared to a smartphone and posted to social media. The app will also allow players to games to their Series X remotely, or even play Xbox games remotely. Check out the full video below.

The entire presentation placed a hefty emphasis on speed. Loading, ing, updating, even browsing games on the store will allegedly be faster and easier than ever before. The aforementioned Share button plays into this idea, letting fans record footage on the fly and share it in seconds through the phone app. Even the console's 1 TB expansion card played into this theme; the presenters plugged the device into their Series X and emphasized how quickly the new storage space was integrated into the console's library.

Of course, fans won't really know how fast the new console is until they try it themselves. The conditions under which this footage was recorded are not impartial; Microsoft obviously has a vested interest in making the Series X  look as good as possible. But this video does still provides an excellent look at what the Series X experience will be like for fans who buy the new console next month. There's a lot of valuable information here about menu and UI layouts, and general info about what the new console will be capable of when it launches. Hopefully this will make fans more excited to get their hands on the Xbox Series X.
