First and most importantly, you need to run the Cleaners faction to take advantage of the +2 damage you get from their ive ability, Incendiary Rounds. That's because the M44 loadout you'll build is just two damage short of being able to one-shot Phantoms, who's ive, Hardened grants them an extra 20 health. But, with the Incendiary Rounds ive, you reach that 120 damage mark and can one-shot them.

Although this M44 loadout is a one-shot kill, you'll eventually run out of bullets. Five bullets, to be exact, which will put you in a pinch. So, for the best M44 class build go with the 93R Pistol. It's one of the best weapons to use in XDefiant, as it's the only secondary with a three-round burst firing mode. Once you've leveled it up, add the Barrel Extender, Extended Mag, Lightweight Stock, Quick Draw Grip, and Reflex Sight. Finally, you'll want to grab a Stun Grenade as your Device.
