5 Sheldon s Georgie Like He Did Howard In TBBT

Young Sheldon Georgie grudge against sheldon

Although Georgie can be dense and slow in Young Sheldon, he has a good heart, not to mention great people skills that make him reliable and likable. So while Mandy's pregnancy was totally unexpected, he embraced the responsibility of becoming a soon-to-be father. Just before Constance is born, however, he gets overwhelmed with all the emotions that come with becoming a dad. Despite Georgie genuinely hurting Sheldon as proven in TBBT, the boy genius goes out of his way to provide comfort to his brother. While Young Sheldon doesn't lean on the emotional aspect of the scene, it highlights their bond.

However, the moment is also reminiscent of a The Big Bang Theory sequence where Sheldon, unexpectedly, offered Howard some emotional . While Sheldon has always had the tendency to treat his friends poorly, he always zeroed in on Howard, mocking his MIT education and invalidating his achievements as an astronaut. However, when he expressed genuine concern about potentially not being a good dad since he didn't have a good role model himself, Sheldon surprisingly gave him genuine words of encouragement, similar to how ed Georgie in his similar doubts in Young Sheldon.

4 Missy Feeling Left Out (& Ending Up With Billy)

Missy looking defiant in a party in Young Sheldon season 6 episode 13

Time and again, Young Sheldon has proven that Missy is the best Cooper. Yet, it continues to sideline her, using the character only as a ing role. Paige's Young Sheldon season 6 return has left the show no excuse to continue failing her and while it's yet to be seen if this issue will be addressed moving forward, it has crept into its storytelling. In "A Launch Party and a Whole Human Being," Missy feels left out after her parents forget to pick her up from school. This could further fuel her rebellious tendencies, which would explain why she never reached her potential as an adult as TBBT established.

Since Sheldon recruited Brenda Sparks in bringing Mandy to the hospital, Billy is also left stranded at school. While Young Sheldon doesn't say it, the Sparks kid is still pining for Missy. While Sheldon's sister isn't interested now, between feeling left out and spending time with Billy, it isn't outside the realm of possibility that they end up being a couple as suggested by a popular theory.

3 The Breakdown Of Mary & George’s Marriage

Mary looks away while George looks sad in Young Sheldon season 5

While Mandy gives birth, Mary suspects that George is Brenda's secret Young Sheldon boyfriend after she catches them flirting with each other. Before Sheldon's mother is able to press them for details, however, Pastor Rob appears in the hospital, giving George the counterargument against his wife's accusations. This leads to a big argument that is left unresolved. It is confirmed that the issue will shape the remainder of season 6 and depending on how things pan out, it's possible that their marriage will only get worse from here on out.

If this is the case, then it will likely be the reason why Mary had barely anything good to say about George in The Big Bang Theory. Since Sheldon has always been closer to his mom, it will explain why he echoed most of her bad sentiments about his dad. Couple that with catching him in the act of cheating, and it makes sense why the boy genius always ragged on George.

2 Pastor Rob's Church Discussion Could Be How Mary Returns To It

Mary's church was Young Sheldon's villain for a long time. Her devotion to it made her unreasonable and judgmental, even to her family. When she was forced to sever ties with the institute in Young Sheldon season 5, the Cooper mom became more relaxed and fun to be with. Since The Big Bang Theory established that she will eventually reconnect with her congregation, however, it has been a question of how she will find her way back. Young Sheldon may have just laid the groundwork for that after Pastor Rob talked about the church being a mess because of Mary's absence.

1 Mandy’s Dad Liking Georgie Sets Up His Tire Shop Future

While she never physically appeared in the original sitcom, Mandy could have a Big Bang Theory impact. Because of their situation, it's understandable that Mandy's parents are not fond of Georgie. Despite this, as revealed in The Big Bang Theory, the eldest Cooper kid first got married when he was 19, which means that his first wife could very well be Mandy – something that Young Sheldon could show. If this is the case, expect that Georgie will grow closer to the McCallisters, who own a local tire shop. This could be how he enters the industry and eventually become the successful owner of Dr. Tire.

Young Sheldon season 6 airs Thursdays on CBS.
