Given that Your Friends & Neighbors' Westmont Village setting was inspired by Westchester County, its real location in the Hudson Valley makes the perfect filming location. Westchester makes up one part of the larger Hudson Valley, New York area, and it features small towns and villages with some of the nicest properties in the state. Just like Westmont Village in the show, Westchester County has one of the highest median incomes in the United States, and its wealthy areas were used throughout the series.

The area's beautiful natural scenery is also often present in the series, as the characters are often outside playing golf or tennis or going for a swim. For these scenes in particular, Your Friends & Neighbors utilized the Sleepy Hollow Country Club (via Decider). The green, spacious, and upscale location allows audiences to understand the types of lives the show's characters live. Likewise, other scenes in the series were filmed in the beautiful coastal town, Rye, which is also located in Westchester.
