The legendary Master Sword is one of the most sought-after weapons in all of Hyrule, but one the evil Calamity Ganon, with BOTW’s version being particularly noteworthy as it doesn’t break after too many uses like the game’s other weapons - though it will need to recharge after a certain number of strikes.
However, actually acquiring the legendary blade in Breath Of The Wild from the Shrines. This naturally takes some time, but one player recently figured out a simple shortcut to nab that all-powerful weapon early.
Reddit RinHara5aki posted a brief gameplay video to the BreathOfTheWild subreddit earlier today, revealing a neat trick to gaining control of the Master Sword early. The player heads to the sword's shrine at the center of the Lost Woods, selects a bundle of wood from their inventory and starts a small campfire with a flaming arrow. They then choose to sit in front of it until the next morning, and then the Master Sword is automatically added to their arsenal.
Players have uncovered several tricks and secrets within Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild’s vast open world. According to these discoveries, Link steal the Master Sword itself if players aren’t careful.
While using a glitch to steal the Master Sword won’t exactly earn a would-be hero the Triforce Of Courage, its interesting to see just how many secrets fans are uncovering in The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild even a good four years after it first launched on the Nintendo Switch. Thankfully Ganon never discovered that the all-powerful blade could be taken by simply camping out for the night, or Hyrule would have been in for some dark times indeed.
