Jonsau Shrine can be found in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom as a place that gives players a special reward for solving puzzles related to the game's mechanics. Players are able to track down over 100 different Shrines while exploring the map, tackling different challenges that test their mastery of Link's abilities. Each Shrine puts a name to their tests, with Jonsau Shrine's being called "Deep Force".
Toward the south section of Mercay Island, players might spot Jonsau Shrine close to the center of the Lanaryu Wetlands. The Shrine itself rests on top of a collection of hills, so it may be tricky to reach without using the paraglider or slowly climbing up the surrounding rock faces. Items such as the Glide Shirt in Tears of the Kingdom make it far easier to reach Shrines by letting players have better movement in the air.
Deep Force Shrine Guide
The first task players are challenged with in Jonsau Shrine comes from a large target seen above a body of water, which must be activated by manipulating objects with Ultrahand. Link has the skill to manipulate objects in the world using Ultrahand, and release these items back into the world to interact with the game's physics. When an object is placed underwater, it rockets out straight up.
A gate on the path left of the Shrine blocks players from progressing, so they must use the floating ball in the water to activate the target to unlock the gate. Following the rules of the game's physics, players are able to move the ball with Ultrahand underwater until it is directly under the target. The resulting force that erupts the ball from the water should be enough to launch it into the above target, opening the gate.
Along with the Ultrahand puzzles, there is a single Construct enemy with a sword and shield ready to fight after the first gate that players must defeat.
The second puzzle is pretty much a carbon copy of the first, with another target players must force an object onto by launching it from underwater with Ultrahand. However, players could simply bring the ball from the first puzzle over instead of using the wood plank that is offered.
The last room shows another ball, which players have to launch from underwater again, but this time make sure it knocks a wooden plank from above into the water. This releases a small basket that players must attach to the wooden plank. This gives a way for the ball to be placed under the plank, so that it launches the basket and Link into the air when players let it go, moving them over the platform to the end of the Shrine.
Rewards for Solving Jonsau Shrine
Before players move on to the second puzzle, they can use Ultrahand to find a chest deep in the water. This chest contains a Strong Construct Bow, a stronger weapon than some of the more fragile Bows found in the game. Unlike other Shrines, players do not need to solve an additional puzzle to reach this easy-to-miss chest.
The main reward for completing Jonsau Shrine in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is a Light of Blessing, a special item that may be exchanged at a Goddess Statue along with three others to increase Link's health or stamina.
