The fuse ability in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom allows players to upgrade weapons and ensures they will last long before breaking. This new fuse ability sees players combine two items in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom to create new weapons with higher stats. It gives players great freedom to create something that suits their play style, but it is still vital that the best weapons are found and used to overcome the toughest enemies in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.
10 Giant Boomerang
While not the best weapon on this list, the Giant Boomerang✨ is a great option for players to pick up early on during their travels through Hyrule. Its attack is only 25, but it has 40 durability, meaning players will be able to continue using the Boomerang for a long time.
It provides a different ranged option to standard bows, delivering more damage in return for a drop in speed. The Giant Boomerang can be found in the Hebra Mountains as well as in the Tabantha Frontier but can be found across many areas of Hyrule.
9 Gloom Sword
Whilst different in appearance from the majority of weapons normally carried by Link, the Gloom Sword has a massive 41 attack power. The negative for this is that it deals Gloom damage to the player, the best option to combat this is to fuse the sword with another weapon to stop the effect.
The sword is obtained by defeating the Phantom Ganon in the Tamio River Downstream Cave. It can be one of the trickiest bosses fights in the game as players need to continuously avoid the Gloom around the boss, but victory grants one of the strongest weapons on offer.
8 Scimitar Of The Seven
One of the quickest weapons in the game, the Scimitar of the Seven, provides one of the easiest ways to take out enemies early on in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom. When fused with any item the attack power of the weapon doubles, meaning this should be done as soon as possible once it is obtained.
The Scimitar Of the Seven is one of many items on this list, which players earn by finding materials as part of a quest. During the Pride of the Gerudo quest, players will need to obtain materials for Isha, who will then give the weapon as a reward.
7 Lightscale Trident
The Lightscale Trident is one of the best all-around weapons on offer. Its standout strength sees it deal double damage when the player is in water, making it particularly useful for certain locations across Hyrule. For players to earn the weapon they need to complete the Glory Of The Zora quest for Dento.
Dento will ask for certain materials needed to craft a Lightscale Trident, which ones returned to the alley will grant players the Lightscale Trident.
6 Boulder Breaker
The Boulder Breaker is a valuable asset to have for exploring as well as during combat. The two-handed weapon can help Link break through walls and rocks to discover new areas. It is also powerful when tackling enemies, but this comes at the expense of it being one of the slower weapons to use.
To unlock the weapon players need to complete the Yunobo of Goron City quest. Players will need to find items for Fugo before he will forge a Boulder Breaker for them. After the weapon breaks players can return to Fugo to forge further Boulder Breakers.
5 Fierce Deity Sword
The Fierce Deity Sword is one of the best-looking weapons in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, but also one of the most powerful. With an attack power of 38 it is a great option for close combat. Players need to complete the Misko's Treasure - The Fierce Diety quest to unlock the weapon.
During this quest players will need to find three keys, each granting a piece of armour and once all three have been found the sword will also be rewarded. Once players have found the New Fierce Deity Sword it can be purchased again if it breaks.
4 Royal Guards Claymore
The Royal Guard's Claymore has a really high attack power of 32 which can be further increased when paired with the right weapon for fusing. As it gets closer to its breaking power its attack power increases giving it the highest attack power available. However, the weapon leaves Link vulnerable defensively due to its speed.
The two-handed weapon can be found in one of the many wells in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom in Lookout Land within a chest hidden by boulders in the cave.
3 Royal Guards Bow
The Royal Guard's Bow is a fantastic option for players when attacking from range. It has a high attack power of 50, but it is the weapon's fire rate that gives it the edge over other distance options. It can be found in the Sanctum area of Hyrule Castle high up on the ledge within the main entrance hall. It makes it tricky to get to, requiring items to do so, but it is certainly worth it to get one of the best Bow in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.
2 Savage Lynel Bow
The Savage Lynel Bow can fire three bows at the same making it one of the strongest ranged weapons on offer for Link to use. It also has one of the highest accuracies for any weapon making it the perfect option for distance combat. To add the weapon to their inventory players will need to defeat Silver or White-maned Lynel. These can be found across the Overworld either around Gerudo Highlands or in the Lanayru Wetlands Depths.
1 Master Sword
The legendary Master Sword holds a special place in the Zelda series and players will still be desperate to obtain it in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom. It can't break and can be fused with any other weapon in the game, giving the Master Sword huge potential as well as great customization options for all players.
To obtain the Master Sword in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom players will need to find the Light Dragon and pull the sword out of its head. There is a quest, given by the Deku Tree, which will lead players to the dragon, but it can also be hunted down if the creature is seen flying across Hyrule.
There are more weapons and options for players to use in combat than ever before in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom, but the Master Sword remains the best weapon to get as early as possible.
