Zenless Zone Zero is adding another A-Rank agent in Pulchra, but what will be the best way to build her? 1.6 is looking like another stopgap update until the story continues in 2.0. However, these updates have been largely better than those in other HoYoverse games, with plenty of stories and events. 1.6 will also include two S-Rank agents in Silver Solider Anby and her squate Trigger. In a surprise turn of events, Pulchra may be the first A-Rank character in a HoYoverse game to have more excitement than the limited characters she is releasing with.

Pulchra is a simple but strong Physical Stun unit and the first of her kind. Her whole kit revolves around her ive, which allows her to enter the Hunter's Gait state when using her EX Attack, Assist Follow-Up, Chain Attack, or Ultimate. This state will increase her Daze by 30% for six seconds and allow her to trigger a squate's Quick Assist when she uses a Heavy Attack. The rest of her kit is relatively normal, though it should be said that since she is an A-Rank agent in Zenless Zone Zero, her Mindscape will be easier to fill for extra buffs.

Best W-Engines For Pulchra

Pulchra Can Use Many Engines

The best W-Engine for Pulchra will be the new Box Cutter, which stands as her A-Rank "signature." This is another simple engine that gives Attack and 15% Impact. The bonus comes from its ability to increase the 's Physical Damage after triggering an Aftershock. Aftershock is a new type of damage coming to Zenless Zone Zero, and it is akin to follow-up attacks from HSR. Each character with it in their kit can perform an Aftershock when triggered. Pulchra does so after using her Special Attack in the Hunter's Gait state.

Zenless Zone Zero: Best Miyabi Build (W-Engine, Teams & Drive Discs)

Hoshimi Miyabi has entered Zenless Zone Zero, and properly building her gives players what may be the most powerful character for quite a while.

Luckily, Pulchra does have a handful of good options for those who don't want to pull for Box Cutter. Any S-Rank engine, except for Lighter's Blazing Laurel, can work well but may feel overkill. There is also the case that if these engines are being used by their desired S-Rank Stun agent, they are better kept with them.

For other A-Rank options, Precious Fossilized Core, Six Shooter, and Steam Oven are all good options for stat boosts. The caveat to this is that none of the bonuses necessarily help Pulchra. These will almost always be situational abilities that won't trigger as much as Box Cutter's. Still, for those looking to save pulls for future banners, these can be a great alternative to still make Pulchra useful.

Best Drive Discs For Pulchra

Pick For Her Preferred Role

One of the Shockstar Disco Drive Discs for the best Qingyi build in Zenless Zone Zero

Pulchra has two ideal builds when it comes to Drive Discs in Zenless Zone Zero. The first plan is to go a hybrid of Daze and damage. This would mean using four pieces of Shockstar Disco for the extra Impact and Daze. The ideal extra two-piece would be the new Shadow Harmony set to boost her Aftershock damage. Other options include Fanged Metal for extra Physical damage or Swing Jazz for Energy Regeneration.

Zenless Zone Zero: Best Burnice Build (W-Engine, Teams & Drive Discs)

Burnice is arguably one of the best re-runs to get in Zenless Zone Zero, with a powerful kit and build that makes her strong for the future.

The other option, which takes away a bit of her role as a Stun agent, would be pure damage. This would mean going full-on Shadow Harmony to gain the four-piece bonus of extra Attack and Critical Rate. Like with the other option, Fanged Metal and Swing Jazz are the best options, but since this build aims for damage, Fanged Metal has a slight edge.

Disc 4

Critical Damage

Disc 5

Attack%

Disc 6

Impact% (Hybrid) Attack% (Damage)

Since Pulchra wants to be built as a semi-DPS agent, her stats will reflect that, but luckily, they don't change too much. Disc 4 should be Critical Damage, and Disc 5 should be Attack%. Disc 6 is where things can change, as the hybrid build can benefit from Impact%, whereas the damage build should use Attack%.

Best Teams For Pulchra

Limited Present Options With A Bright Future

Given that the only other characters that have Aftershocks are the new Anby and Trigger, this is Pulchra's ideal team. The three of them will all be able to perform Aftershocks off each other, along with quick rotations, while Silver Soldier Anby consumes most of the field time. However, the obvious caveat is that one will need to pull for all three of these characters, and s with many limited characters will have better options for Stun over Pulchra.

How Zenless Zone Zero Can Avoid Honkai: Star Rail’s Power Creep

With HoYoverse games like Honkai: Star Rail running into power creep issues, Zenless Zone Zero has the time and potential to avoid such problems.

While other teams won't benefit as much from Pulchra's Aftershocks, she can still fit in. One such team is Evelyn's best builds paired with Astra. This combo doesn't have any great substitute stun agents outside of Lighter as the best in the slot. Caeser can work but won't have as many consistent stuns.

Pulchra helps fill the role of stunning for the team while working well into the Quick Assist style that Astra Yao in Zenless Zone Zero promotes.

Another option, though not ideal, is with Jane Doe in Zenless Zone Zero. Jane and Pulchra can inflict Physical Anomaly buildup quickly, and the benefit of Pulchra is stunning the enemy. However, this does come with the downside of removing much of the Disorder damage from Jane and having to split more field time than with usual Jane teams. Thus, this team combo should only be for players who have Jane but no other ideal partner for her.

Overall, Pulchra is strong for an A-Rank agent and helps fill the lack of Stun agents available to players. She will likely have more uses as more units with Aftershock come out, but none are confirmed for 1.7 or beyond right now. Still, she is a highly-anticipated character who comes with a good kit to benefit the new S-Rank agents and some other options. Even with her limitations, when built correctly, Pulchra can be a powerful new Stun agent in Zenless Zone Zero.
