About Austin Dudas-Larmondin

Austin Dudas-Larmondin is a Toronto-based writer with an immense ion for comics and movies. Growing up on superhero media of the early 00s, Austin developed a love for both the Marvel and DC universes by watching movies and animated series. He started going to comic book shops when he got his very first paycheck and hasn’t looked back since.

Industry Focus

Austin is always rooting for an underdog. He likes to discuss and put a spotlight on characters that don’t get the love and glory of the usual fan favourites, because everybody has a story to tell. His focus is to dive deep into what makes ing characters great and how they enhance the worlds they reside in.

Favorite Media

Austin’s favorite media usually revolves around teams with strong characters serving great action, emotional storytelling, and a comedic rapport. He is a huge fan of any iteration of the Birds of Prey, the Young Avengers, and various X-Teams. Outside of comics, Austin is also enthusiastic about camp classics like the 2000 and 2003 Charlie’s Angels movies as well as horror favorites like Black Christmas (1974) and the original Scream trilogy.
