As The Batman is not in the DCEU, the reboot with Robert Pattinson is already developing a spinoff series in the same universe.

Director Matt Reeves is working on a Peacemaker, centered on John Cena's character from James Gunn's film. DC Films head Walter Hamada has spoken about looking for spinoff potential in every DC franchise. There are many films on their way, including those in development stages, meaning the potential for over a dozen spinoff shows in the future.

It is becoming a new era for Warner Bros. regarding their decision to expand the DC film properties through the small screen. In past years, the studio avoided having DC TV and films part of the same world, which established the DC Multiverse, primarily through The CW's Arrowverse. Crisis on Infinite Earths changed that when Grant Gustin and Ezra Miller's Flashes, from their respective universes, came face to face in a historic moment. That interaction was something that many had said, for years, would never be possible. But with several DCEU franchises coming with sequels and first installments, what original spinoffs could the studio make for HBO Max?

The Suicide Squad: Secret Six

While The Suicide Squad has one spinoff already with Cena's Peacemaker, Gunn's film has a significant cast of DC characters. One of the bigger ones is King Shark, who Sylvester Stallone voices while Steve Agee physically played the DC baddie. Despite being part of the Secret Six series for CBS in 2018 before eventually scrapping it

Given that CBS is not moving forward with it, HBO Max could adapt the concept as an original series. Since Warner Bros. and DC are producing projects for villains/non-traditional heroes, a Secret Six spinoff show with King Shark as one of the players would be another way to expand The Suicide Squad franchise. Using at least one established character like King Shark, a spinoff could open the door for other Secret Six to the DCEU. From Bane, Catman, to Scandal Savage and Cheshire, there are a solid variety of characters they could bring in. Secret Six could also be a way for Will Smith's Deadshot, who will not be in The Suicide Squad, to return as he was also part of that team in the comics.

The Batman: Catwoman

With GD being the first DC movie spinoff show from Warner Bros., The Batman has another iconic character due for her own solo project: Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman. GD is obviously doing it differently, but it doesn't change how odd it is for Warner Bros. to make another Gotham-related show already so soon after FOX's Catwoman film (that the world is still trying to forget), Selina has only appeared as a ing character in Batman/DC properties.

Catwoman show would allow The Batman universe to have a unique perspective due to Selina's nature as one of DC's anti-heroines. Despite GD approaching it differently from Gotham, it is still heavily about the police department and Gotham City citizens, which was the case for the FOX series. Catwoman, however, would be an opportunity to explore her background in more depth and tell the story of how Selina Kyle became the Catwoman. But a spinoff could also open the door to explore how Selina walks the line between being a villain or operating as an anti-heroine. DC has introduced many heroes and villains to the screen, but barely any anti-heroes, especially individual TV shows or movies, which Catwoman could help change.

Black Adam: Justice Society Of America

Dwayne Johnson's DCEU journey will finally begin as he stars in Doctor Fate, Cyclone, and Atom-Smasher. The DCEU project will be the first time the Justice Society has ever been portrayed on the big screen, with some big actors attached to the iconic roles.

While Black Adam revolves primarily around Johnson's character, the movie shouldn't be the only Justice Society DCEU journey. Just like the Justice League, the Justice Society has a mythology that has lasted decades upon decades as DC's Golden Age of heroes. While Black Adam will bring in four prominent already like Doctor Fate and Hawkman, that is not even half of the Justice Society as they have over a dozen in their line-up. A Justice Society of America series on HBO Max would be a chance for Warner Bros. to do a DC period piece. Since the Wonder Woman films.

The Flash: Flashpoint Universe

The DCEU will begin to explore time travel and the larger DC Multiverse, which will start in Ezra Miller's time travels to prevent his mother from being murdered. By doing so, he messes with the timeline and parallel universes, which is how Michael Keaton's Batman gets involved. While The Flash will likely find ways to restore the DCEU after his actions, the Flashpoint Universe would not necessarily need to be left behind. Regardless of how the DCEU looks after The Flash, a Flashpoint show would be an opportunity to do a spinoff where viewers get to follow an alternative timeline.

Even though Jeffery Dean Morgan's Thomas Wayne will not appear in The FlashFlashpoint could be the show where they finally get to bring in the comic counterpart as this reality's Batman. Morgan has shown his interest in playing a Flashpoint Batman, which would be more possible in a Flashpoint show, as opposed to appearing in the main DCEU. However, that does not mean they could not do crossovers down the line. If HBO Max wanted to take it a step further, they could bring back Lauren Cohan's Martha Wayne as the Flashpoint Joker from the comics. Depending on what other characters The Flash introduces, they could potentially go on to star in a Flashpoint-related show.

The Flash: Limited Michael Keaton-Batman Series/Batman Beyond

Michael Keaton Batman Beyond Perched

Ben Affleck will not be the only Batman in The Flash as Keaton's Dark Knight is ing the DCEU film. The Flash will be Keaton's first time reprising his character in 30 years since Batman Returns. Batman & Robin are not part of Tim Burton's franchise, a limited Keaton-Batman HBO Max show could serve as the conclusion that he never got.

A spinoff like that could also reunite Keaton's Batman with Michelle Pfieffer's Catwoman after 30 years. The other option, which would probably let Keaton's Bruce Wayne be around for longer, is finally to do a Bruce in a Batman Beyond project, it should be Keaton after returning to the role in The Flash. Since Keaton is almost 70, it would be more likely that he signs on for a Batman Beyond spinoff rather than star in his own Batman show.

Aquaman 2: Aqualad-Atlantis Series

Atlantis

While Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry is the center of the Atlantis would, however, need a main character who can act as the eyes and ears for the audience. While Aquaman has introduced big players like Ocean Master, Black Manta, Mera, there is another that the DCEU has yet to bring in: Aqualad.

Whether it would be Garth or Kaldur'ahm, an Aqualad could fill that void and allow Atlantis as a society to be further continued, after Aquaman 2.

Shazam! Fury Of The Gods: The Shazam Family

Shazam Family Finds Out Billy's Secret

One of Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, bringing the family back against a new threat. But even the Shazam! franchise has the potential for its own spinoff, which in this case, would be for the Shazam Family with the five ing players. The kids are growing up, and eventually, like in the real world; everyone leaves for the next stage in their lives.

Even while they are still young, Billy will probably have his own adventures as Shazam in the DCEU, as should the other heroes. A Shazam Family spinoff could either focus Freddy, Mary, Darla, Eugene, and Pedro together whenever Billy is not around or maybe revolve specifically on just one of them. The best candidate for their own show would be Mary Bromfield, who was beginning to plan her future after high school. If they can not do a show about all five of them, then a Mary Shazam spinoff would be another strong option, as she goes off to college while also being a superhero.

Wonder Woman 3: The Amazons

Wonder Woman Spinoff About the Amazons in Development

While Patty Jenkins will be back for Wonder Woman prequel series called Amazon, that would have depicted Diana's early years, including Themyscira.

Like Atlantis, Jenkins created a powerful and visually stunning depiction of Themyscira in the DCEU, starting in 2017's HBO Max TV show where Jenkins and her creative team can do even more with this world that she built in the DCEU.

The bigger the DCEU gets, the more opportunities Warner Bros. and DC Films will have in fleshing out their franchise. Whether it is through the main DCEU or using movies set on other Earths, there are many potentials to give consumers DC content regularly. The Suicide Squad, The Flash, Black Adam, The Batman, Aquaman 2, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, and Wonder Woman 3 are just a couple of DC movies that are on their way. While several features are in development, should they go forward too, HBO Max will have additional spinoff possibilities from the DC movies, for years to come.
