Moon Knight's luck has always been up and down, but when it comes to a love life, his is even worse than Spider-Man's, which is saying something. Peter Parker's infamous romance streak has come to an end recently, but he's shockingly still not as bad as another vigilante hero. Through violence or just plain breaking up, Moon Knight's past lovers have certainly put him throught the wringer and proved that he needs a little alone time.

In the current ongoing Moon Knight comic, Marc is ed only by the friends he's made and his therapist, while his romantic life is put on the sidelines. As he progresses into becoming a better version of himself, perhaps then he can explore the world of romance again. For now, though, his past mistakes show that while romance can benefit him at times, the end results have basically remained the same and ended up harming him.

Moon Knight has dated many people and one of his alters, Jake Lockley even conceived a child with a woman named Marlene. Among the most prominent of Moon Knight's love interests, Marlene was romantically involved with all of his alters and served as a confidant for him during his time as a vigilante in the beginning. She first appeared in Marvel Spotlight #28 by Doug Moench, Don Perlin, and Irene Vartanoff, as Moon Knight's most well-known relationship, it was the biggest and messiest end for all the alters and had a very complicated effect on them.

Marc Spector's Dating Flings Have Violent Endings

Moon Knight Lisa

Many of Marc's past relationships have ended in very violent ways, with few actually ending because of a simple breakup. One of his least known relationships was with the superhero Echo, whom he dated and became partners in crime fighting with. They had a very complicated, but loving relationship that was built on mutual respect for one another and their work. It seemed, for a little bit, that Marc had finally entered a healthy relationship and that it would evolve into something beautiful. But they never got to fully explore what that meant as Echo was brutally murdered in front of Marc in Moon Knight #9 by Brian Michael Bendis, Alex Maleev, and Matt Hollingsworth. This permanently altered his mental health, and he even adopted a new alter from Echo's death, which clearly effected him a lot more than he lets on.

Echo wasn't the only relationship Marc had that ended in tragedy. In a cruel twist of fate, Marc's girlfriend of the past, Lisa, was brutally murdered by his own brother in Hulk! #17 by Doug Moench, Ron Wilson, and Alfredo Alcala. It seems like the universe just can't let Marc have a single peaceful relationship, as this sparked his infamous battle against his own brother, Randall. Having become one of Moon Knight's most brutal villains, Randall was first known as the serial killer Hatchet-Man, who targeted female nurses and murdered them. When Lisa discovered that Rand was harming Marc for more money, Hatchet-Man was born and as a way to cover his tracks, he ended her life.

Most relationships Marc and his alters had ended in tragedy that further convinced Spector that he had to work alone. It was only recently that the vigilante finally realized he can't keep working alone and let himself find some friends. However, Moon Knight's love life is still in shambles even worse than Spider-Man.
