Star Trek Fans Don't Want to it It, But One of TNG's Biggest Critiques Is 100% Correct
Pulaski is a woman and mother too. So your comments about Crusher make no sense.
She viewed her role as a doctor differently. Some believe in being blunt and focusing on the disease which Pulaski did. Others believe in treating the disease AND the person which is what Crusher did. Neither has ANYTHING to do with being a woman or mother. As men who are fathers do that as doctors too.
Data didnt react because he didnt notice the animosity Pulaski was giving to him. He doesnt know about prejudice in the sense of knowing when its happening in real time.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 1 Finale Makes A The Big Bang Theory Plot Hole Worse
A 14 year old going to Caltech definitely received a full scholarship for all expenses.
As for trust, they were barely getting by with their expenses. Its why when either parent lost their job they freaked out immediately as they had no cushion or extra money.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage Season 1 Finale Makes A The Big Bang Theory Plot Hole Worse
This argument is flimsy at best.
First in TBBT Georgie said he had to work his butt off to get his first tire location. In order to pay off loan against mothers house he would have.
Second, since this store isnt Dr Tire, he might have to sell it later on and still work towards money for Dr Tire.
Third, his comments in TBBT about all the money going to Sheldon were true and still works here. Mary had no money to give to Georgie which is why she offered her house. That complicates things in Georgie's flexibility in what he could do with his business. If given just cash, he could hold out longer if it wasnt as successful as he wants starting off. With moms house as collateral, he can not do that.
The thing I dont understand is with it being his father in law and him having half of it to buy it. Why wouldn't he allow him to finance the rest of the amount with him and get monthly payments for the rest instead of employee as a partner.
His father in law didnt need all 100% up front. He was taking about traveling. So half up front and monthly payments after would not prevent that nor inhibit him with extra money for expenses every month.
Seems like a hardship put into it that didn't need to be.
Every Star Trek Movie & TV Prequel, Ranked Worst To Best
I agree 100%. Archer and Phlox were great characters.
Every Star Trek Movie & TV Prequel, Ranked Worst To Best
I dont really see Discovery season 1 as Star Trek. If you change a few character names and give Klingons a different name as well, it could have been any new kind of science fiction show. Season 2 was better but odd just about everyone was aware of Section 31 when no one was supposed to know about them.
I am so tired of the Terran mirror universe stories. Its one thing in original series but almost every series after gets involved with it. They are so boring and uninteresting. These stories add nothing but stuff to take up time. Need better writing and ideas.
But as to Progressive tendacies. That IS Star Trek. From equally of races and species to socialist economy that Star Trek has. If you have issues with Progressivism then you shouldn't watch Star Trek as almost all aspects of it has its involvement.
5 Odd Star Trek: TNG Details You Only Notice When Rewatching The First Few Episodes
He preferred to be called "Tom" after Rikers middle name Thomas.
I Didn't Want Another Big Bang Theory Spinoff But I'm Increasingly Being Convinced By It
You need to get your facts straight. Sussman was lined up to play Howard and NOT Leonard or Sheldon.
Someone who "follows" TBBT as much as claimed in article should know the difference.
ABC Sitcom Star Opens Up About Cancelled Spinoff: "I'm Going To Find A Way For People To See It Somehow"
I have never seen the show. But probably will eventually. A fan of the actor playing the father and the older son in clips I've seen seems funny.
However, they have 3 types of shows. Very successuful and widely watched like The Big Bang Theory. Awful shows that get cancelled and shows like "The Middle" which are literally in the middle.
They dont get huge viewerships nor talked about a lot. But they get steady enough viewership to keep it from getting canceled. These types of shows NEVER get spinoffs. The reason why spinoffs are done is because they are trying to take advantage of the popularity of the original and hoping all or most of those viewers will watch the new show.
If the show is getting 5 million viewers, they wont bother with a spinoff. They'll try a new show hoping it'll be a blockbuster and get 10-15 million viewers. That's why The Big Bang Theory gets spinoffs.
Star Trek Explains Why It Uses 'Quadrants' Despite the Universe Being Infinite
The universe is made up of many galaxies. Therefore the universe is infinite. Our galaxy the Milky Way has finite "borders" until it reaches a different galaxy.
Star Trek has divided our galaxy (not the universe) into 4 quadrants to better explain where everything is.
10 Great Space Sci-Fi TV Shows That Were Overshadowed By Star Trek
I enjoyed the Vorlons. Ambassador Kosh was an amazing character. Would love to have seen him more.
10 Great Space Sci-Fi TV Shows That Were Overshadowed By Star Trek
Not sure why Babylon 5 was 9 on list instead of 1 or 2.
I also get similar premises of both B5 and DS9. But in B5, Humans really made no progress in 250+ years from time it was made and time story takes place.
Yeah they have ability to travel space so technology wise they made improvements but as a species they made absolutely none.
Look how much improvement we have made between now and year 1750 or so.
I love B5 a lot and it shouldn't be like Trek as its good its different. But humans should have been closer in behavior to Trek than behavior of 1990's or earlier.
Only makes sense that some personal growth as a species would have happened. Not stuck in time.
Mel Gibson's Oscar-Nominated WW2 Movie Is "Not Quite Authentic," Intense Battles Still Impress Historian
That was a fictional piece added to the movie. This article clearly stated that.
Dr. Bashir Should Have Ended Star Trek: DS9’s Dominion War, But He Was A Liability
Sisko didn't commit a war crime with the Romulans. Lying to get them involved is NOT a war crime.
Furthermore Garek was the one who blew up the ship without Siskos knowledge or permission. Its why Sisko assaulted Garek immediately after finding out what he did.
It wasn't that Julian refused to help Federation win the war, its that his opinions were that they couldn't and until his mind was changed he continued with that viewpoint.
If someone believes something can't or won't happen, how can they contribute to helping it get done? No matter what the issue is. If you believe it can't be done, you're not going to spend time trying.
The people that spend time trying are ones that believe its possible. Julian didn't believe it was possible so wasn't going to spend time trying.
The Big Bang Theory’s Biggest ing Star Change Secretly Saved Sheldon's Character
I have no idea what they are talking about with Penny. She went from a somewhat shallow person to a very responsible woman. She made friends with much better people than the losers she dated and hung out with in earlier seasons. She got a better job. She got more mature and intelligent and no longer the vapid airhead from the beginning. I liked Penny in the beginning but only so much of that can be done when you're a main character so she grew as a character as the show progressed.
