Wotc also majorly pissed off the most fanatical d&d fans with their attempt to end the OGL *just* before the release of this movie. There is no telling how many millions of dollars of damage this caused, but it was a lot. Trying to screw over a group of people who have been reading dense rulebooks for decades is not exactly a recipe for success when those people have lots of disposable income.
