What movie has a terrible Rotten Tomatoes rating but is actually great?

We all know the Rotten Tomatoes critic scale can be a little unfair for certain movies, turning even the most divided of reviews into a Rotten rating and leading to low scores. One movie with a bad score that I think is way better than its rating indicates is George of the Jungle, as its mix of meta humor, good effects, lighthearted story and committed performances really make it a treat for both young and old audiences alike.

Is The Better Sister worth streaming on Prime Video?

Jessica Biel is back with a new psychological thriller in Prime Video's The Better Sister, and for those wondering if it's worth watching, I certainly do recommend it. The cast are all superb, and the mystery itself is interesting, but it's the tone that really makes the show so worthwhile, as it has a great mix of dark comedy, thriller and drama that it took me back to my love of Gone Girl, complete with another witty and intelligent detective played by Kim Dickens.

Should Netflix make another Fear Street after Prom Queen?

The Fear Street franchise recently made its return with the standalone sequel, Prom Queen, but sadly it didn't see the same level of success as its predecessors, and didn't really leave much narrative room for a direct sequel. However, R.L. Stine previously indicated there were two other installments in the works alongside Prom Queen, albeit their current statuses remain unknown. While I had my issues with the new movie, I do think there's room for future Fear Street installments to get the franchise back on track, particularly if they pick up from the cliffhanger of the post-credits in Part III: 1666, or at least bring back writer/director Leigh Janiak for the next one.

Should Star Wars show when Anakin's lightsaber became red in live-action?

The world of Star Wars has generally attributed lightsaber colors to the kyber crystals placed within them by its , though the Sith red comes from what's known as "bleeding", in which they pour their hatred and anger into the lightsaber to turn it red. While a good amount of characters have been shown with their bleeding moment, one of the most notable who hasn't is Anakin Skywalker, with Episode III — Revenge of the Sith still seeing him with his blue lightsaber when fighting Obi-Wan Kenobi in the ending, and his later Darth Vader appearances only featuring the red lightsaber.  The book, Master of Evil, is set to reveal the moment Anakin bled his lightsaber, and I think it'd be a shame not to see this in live-action. With Hayden Christensen returning for Ahsoka season 2, I think it'd be great for a flashback scene to show that. Or, if my hopes for Obi-Wan Kenobi season 2 come true, that'd also be a great place for it to happen.

Will The Fantastic Four: First Steps reverse Marvel's box office woes?

Though Thunderbolts* seemed to showcase the Marvel Cinematic Universe was getting back on track creatively, the same couldn't be said for its box office, which is looking to lose the studio some money. The franchise's next release is The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is now all the more important in the hopes of turning around the box office woes of Thunderbolts* and Captain America: Brave New World, and I'm honestly not sure it'll succeed. July is already a stacked month of new releases with Jurassic World Rebirth, I Know What You Did Last Summer and fellow superhero reboot Superman. Given James Gunn's DC Universe starter is also being released so close to Fantastic Four, I get the feeling even the allure of Pedro Pascal as Mister Fantastic might not be enough.

Are you planning on seeing Kevin Smith's long-out-of-print movie in its theatrical re-release?

After over a decade of being unavailable on digital platforms, and out of print physically, Kevin Smith finally has the rights back to Dogma and is bringing it back to theaters with Iconic events on June 5, and I'm definitely aiming to find the time to catch it in theaters. I'm always happy to Smith's work, but Dogma also remains one of my favorite movies of his, and his talks of a potential sequel makes me all the more eager to help boost that interest from producters.
