Blade Runner or Blade Runner 2049: Which movie is better?
I'll probably get heat for it, but I actually felt like Blade Runner 2049 was the better movie for me. The fact that there are so many different cuts of the original puts me off a bit for their different interpretations of the world, whereas Denis Villeneuve having a clear-cut vision and his story feeling more structured, even if it's a tad overlong, made me far more invested in it and rewatches of it. But I do still love the original.
Tom Cruise and Keanu Reeves need to make a movie together.
While both are known for their stunts, I feel like they could both unlock new layers in each other's acting, whether it's Keanu being a little more expressively emotional on screen, or Cruise embracing the inner chaos of his characters.
Seeing the typewriter in the Resident Evil Requiem trailer made me so giddy.
I agree it was a great thing to see that return, though I can't lie, I hope they don't bring back the ink ribbon save system for the new one. While great at the time, it feels a little too unfair nowadays and I liked the answering machine mechanic from the past two games.
Would Deadpool's Tim Miller be right for an MCU X-Men movie?
While I do generally love Miller's ion in the director's chair, I can't lie that Terminator: Dark Fate has forever made me uncertain about his future directorial projects, as that movie was just such a trainwreck. If he got a good script, I might be open to it, though.
Was The Witcher 4's tech demo cinematic impressive?
I can appreciate your reservations, particularly towards the opening of the reel, in which the camera suddenly shifts to showcase the flora and fauna of the region, which is clearly not going to be a gameplay option, but at the same time, the stuff that looked closer to genuine gameplay looks incredible, and I'm so psyched.
Which Blumhouse sequel are you most looking forward to?
I was primarily looking forward to M3GAN 2.0 for the longest time, as it was the one that had the most understandable sequel explanation, but after the trailer for The Black Phone 2, I'm definitely far more excited for that, as it seems like a fascinating expansion of the original.
Was James Gunn cutting a Guardians of the Galaxy member what made the MCU trilogy work?
I honestly don't know that that's a fair comparison to make, largely because characters like Kraglin don't feel different enough from humans to make that explanation work. If anything, I think Richard not appearing was good because it would've risked overburdening how many characters there were.
Who do you want to see as the villain of a DCU Justice League movie?
I agree that the Injustice League/Legion of Doom would be the best first villain for the Justice League, as I wasn't all that enticed by Darkseid's impending arrival in the DC Extended Universe, he just felt too much like they were trying to have their own Thanos. I also feel like, the way James Gunn's building out his universe, it would make more sense for a Justice League movie to have multiple villains, or a team of them.
Is The Magician's Nephew the best Narnia book to start with in Netflix's adaptation?
I also agree with your excitement about the choice, as I also feel it's very underrated, but I also think it's far more interesting to lay out the groundwork for the future films proactively, rather than retroactively, as would likely be the case if The Magician's Nephew was adapted as a later prequel movie.
Can Phineas and Ferb Season 5 live up to previous seasons?
While I am intrigued to see if the voice actors can maintain the high pitch of the young characters, I do think that Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh have been so dedicated to bringing the show back that I believe it will pack some fun surprises.
What Marvel game do you want to see now that EA's Black Panther is cancelled?
I like your thoughts on a Fantastic Four game, even though it does, for me, risk just being Ultimate Alliance all over again. I think it'd be really interesting, actually, to see a Blade video game, either from a first-person perspective in the vein of Elder Scrolls, or a third-person character action game in the vein of Devil May Cry.
Should there be a sequel to the live-action Lilo & Stitch?
My one condition for a potential sequel is having Dean Fleischer Camp back as the director, as it really felt like he understood the spirit of the original, and I had a wonderful time with the movie, I'd love to see him bring Angel and Leroy to the screen.
Does Jessica Jones' Daredevil: Born Again season 2 return make an MCU death more likely?
That's an interesting theory that I hadn't even thought of, and I think you're probably on the right track. I hope that it's just that he's severely injured, and that Jessica steps in for him so that he can recover and be okay.
Does the world really need a Clash of Clans animated show?
I do agree with your initial skepticism, but I think Netflix's prior success with Arcane and Castlevania, as well as the fact that the showrunner has prior involvement with the game side of the franchise, gives me some hope that it'll be taken seriously. Plus, I feel like it'd be interesting to see the show take something of an anthology approach for multiple seasons, showing off different clans and personalities.
Tony Todd's emotional scene in Final Destination: Bloodlines feels like a goodbye to his fans.
Honestly, if I wasn't so tense from the film as a whole, I probably would have gotten far more emotional from his speech, because it really did feel like a fitting farewell for both the character and Todd, and I'm going to miss him in future installments.
Wow, I wasn't expecting the Zootopia 2 trailer to be so good.
I can appreciate what you're saying, as it is an interesting change of pace for most trailer, but I ittedly wasn't super wowed for it to be the first look at the film, and hope the proper full trailer gives a better look at the story.
What show is the true Sopranos successor?
I actually kind of think that either Mayor of Kingstown or Landman are great candidates for The Sopranos' successor. I haven't watched Tulsa King, yet, so that might be worth it too, but the other shows have a great mix of crime thriller and character drama which, when paired with an antihero lead, do feel like worthy continuations of the genre.
I don't want Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom to have a CGI mask in Avengers: Doomsday.
I agree that it'd be something of a mistake to have Doctor Doom donning a CGI mask in the movies. It'd feel too similar to that of Iron Man's masks, and I think having a far more practical look to Doom is just as compelling.
I need Jeremy Renner to return for Hawkeye season 2 after his MCU salary dispute to bring in this 1 major character.
I agree that Barney's introduction should happen, more because I want to see his and Clint's tragic origin story told, and give Renner some emotional material to work with.
Why did they kill off THAT character in Final Destination: Bloodlines?
I think there's actually two great reasons why Erik needed to die, beyond his messing with Death. While fairly enjoyable, he was kind of an egotistical one who did, kind of, deserve it for the way he treated Stefani. However, it also made it nicely unpredictable just how Death was working, and who might actually survive, given Erik's demise came when he was actually trying to do something selfless.
